POSSUMS! Made my return (: Think i managed to do a PB which i'm pretty happy with (:
I actually felt quite strong and my legs didn't feel too fatigued at all.
Managed to run half of Easy Way Out and then hiked up the powerlines and then had a nice strong run to the finish.
Quite humid tonight; had some fat rain drops at the end. Grill'd after is always good (:

Netball 36:00 [3]

Finals - we won! On to the Grand Finals next week.
Great cheer squad turn out by our very own Nic (:
Full game at WA without an opposing player - there are rules for finals that you have to have played at least 3 games or something through the round robin to qualify to play in finals, and the other team clearly only had 6 that qualified.

StreetO #4 - Elermore Vale - 34pts

My legs are certainly unaccustomed to hills... I tried to run them.. Some i found that i was better off walking, plus i was able to actually read the map..
Got lost on the way to 3E. I ended up crossing the creek too early, then glimpsed Steveo through the bushes and had to push my way through again.
Spur of encouragement from Macey at 1D which was lovely (:
Had 2min to go when at 1H. Pumped it up the hill as hard as i could to make it back. While out on course i thought 1P (right near the finish) was up a bit further so i ended up bypassing it. Got back and thought that i would have ran out of time had i gone and gotten it, and then just lost that 1pt anyway. Spoke with Steveo at the end and he said he didn't need to run all the way to the end of the street to 1P so perhaps i could have gotten it.
Legs did feel quite tired from last night's efforts, but certainly better than last Wednesday's run. Last night i actually made the effort to put my skins on and do some rolling and stretching.

Warm up with drills - with Alex

Running 23:35 [3] 3.64 km (6:29 / km) +74m 5:53 / km
ahr:162 max:190

9 x 300m - rest being the 90ish second walk from the end back around to the start.
After 5 Alex went off and did his own as my rest breaks were too long for him; he was waiting 20sec at the end before i had even finished.
Alex did 10. I had planned 8 but when i finished my eighth, Alex was half way through his rest so i went for 9...
Very hard, head wind for most of the way it felt like...

Running 12:04 [3] 2.0 km (6:02 / km) +39m 5:30 / km
ahr:172 max:187

Cool down with a walk for the last 200m.
