Trails warm up/down 15:00 [2]

Orienteering 50:30 [3]

Went faster today but was really tired from the 2hours effort yesterday. My navigation was much better but not hard to do when i went so slow. I walked more hills today than yesterday.

Overall i wasn't expecting a single thing from these races. I had fun. Motivation is coming back.

Trails warm up/down 10:00 [2]

Orienteering 1:55:32 [3]

Silva league Elite 2 class long distance race. I aimed to go slow. No point doing anything since i haven't trained properly since Christmas. It was pretty enjoyable. A piece up the north to north east side looked like the Trossachs or West Cork with trees but nowhere near as tough going. My navigation was pretty ok. Couple of small tiny misses in the circle.

S + C - full body 45:00 [1]

Gym class. Body pump or something. It was pretty light, tiny bit of really light core. Alot of stretching. It was more like yoga. It's for people who aren't used to hard training i would say. It has a place but isn't something i would ever do normally. Unfortunately i may have to, baby steps...

Note

My lower back has hurt me in small ways since mid December. Around that time i got alot of tiredness or fatigue in my lower back and upper legs at the end of a work day and sometimes found it counter productive to train. Slowly i started skipping training because after trial and error the days i was tired were pointless to train on. It's strange because my gym work was better than ever and i felt i had good strength in my core and back.
The pain in my back got much worse in January and February. But i fixed alot of it when i got into a better sleep routine. Before that my bad sleeping gave no recovery from the day. But it's still not enough. I think i have some weakness in my glutes which refers pain to my back. It makes sense since my glutes have always been the problem of my bad posture for as far back as i know. I need to start stretching them and soon strengthening. But i still feel really crazy tired at the end of the day, and i'm training nothing now.
So it's strange, and worrying. Today alot of the pain has improved but i'm still having some pretty much every day. The goal would be to be running 6 days a week by the end of the summer and maybe attempting a few races after August. I don't hang with any orienteers much since i can't run but i'm still trying to get to the races to keep connected. Because the problem soon will be lack of motivation to return full training. I'm already a little unmotivated. I would have no problem with it though if i had the bloody energy like i had only say 6 months ago. I'm certainly not lazy, just tired every day after work. I don't know how this came about so dramatically.
I should be trying to stretch now, maybe take a yoga class. Then try some cycling until i feel i can dabble in a little running. I need to play it by ear but it's hard because i'd like to have a plan. I was thinking of hitting lots of gym classes as well as club O training just to never train on my own.
Any thoughts or comments welcome on returning to training.
