Orienteering 20:00 [3]

COC sprint on campus of Calgary University. Tricky navigation with lots of large buildings and small passageways. One significant mistake on #10 and a few small ones on other controls.

Orienteering 24:00 [3] 3.0 km (8:00 / km)

Third leg on the Sprint relay. Hard run with few mistakes. Was with Mitch Collinsworth until the last control. No forking so always had people in front of me to keep me pushing.

Orienteering 53:00 [3]

Middle at COCs. Not my day. Late for the start because we had to go into Canmore for bear spray, missed the first control and then took way too much time to relocate on trail beyond # 4.

Toured yet another nice park along the Bow river outside of Calgary with Peter. Had a great lunch in Cochrane. 92K of hiking this week.

Checking out the points on the local training map with our friend Peter from Calgary.

Hiking 30:00 [3]

Walking around local bird sanctuary. This makes 80K of hiking so far in Calgary. Beautiful park system and a 138K bike loop around the city.

Hiking 6:00:00 [3] 27.0 mi (13:20 / mi)

Berg Lake trail at Robson Provincial Park. Beautiful day with a full view of the mountain all day. Tough hiking toward the end, but worth it with many waterfalls flowing off the many glaciers in the area. We did part of this hike many years ago with a group of juniors. Great day.
