| Indeed, as aptly pointed out by Cristina, yesterday was a day of fortuitous meetings and pleasant surprises. Taking advantage of a free weekend, I had decided to explore Boston, and had set out on foot along the Charles River, criss-crossing between the Cambridge and Boston sides to appreciate the happily-plump winged wildlife along the still-lush and green grass on the river bank. While still heading west along the river, I had come across an athletic young female hiker carrying a backpack and heading purposefully eastward on the same path. "Ten thousand blistering barnacles in a thundering typhoon! Can it be seabass?!" I think to myself, as the hiker's face changes into a purplexed expression. "Dasha?" "Melissa?" We could not have planned this excursion any better, as we then proceeded along the Chalres River shore, our trip punctuated by a stop in a bookstore and a non-conventional pizza lunch with Cristina's sister. |
