WWR Leg 5.
Can't remember ever feeling this bad running a race before. Culmination of three days rest, trying to recover from tuesday's bone bruise, and generally not much training the last few weeks as a result of escalation of tibialis injury. Tibialises were very bad the whole way as was the bone bruise. Calves were on the verge of cramping the whole way and my lower leg felt like it was about to snap in half on the descent. Crusaders dude cruised past me and I just had nothing, just felt like I was crawling the whole way. Hit the boardwalk and got a new lease of life for the descent, despite the pain I was relatively happy with it.
Time is a bit terrible. Could have been 60 feeling good with leg pain. 57-58 if my physiology was normal. Dropped from 3rd to 4th on the leg which is quite disappointing. Managed 3rd overall though which was cool.

Only got 1minute in the river before the rain started which was very annoying. Much colder than the ice baths I've been doing. Some trips to the sea.

Curragh Summer Series.
Started hard and was really hurting by 5. Tibialis' starting to hurt on the way to 5. Not 100% pain but like 85-90% so still very painful. Relaxed a bit more in the blown up section then was going for it across to 10 but got a really sharp pain where the tibia meets the medial malleolus (left leg) so that was annoying and quite painful and distracting. Really bad neck pain to 11 and then into the second blown up section. Really bad direction to 14 running an extra ~150m so lost ~30secs there. Fine for the rest. Nice to run on a perfect map! Both ankles feeling a bit worse for wear now, malleoluses (malleoli?) quite sore.
