Scottish 6 Day - 6 - Grandtully
Nicely short and simple so I raced as hard as I could (as shown by the HR). A bit scrappy in the circles with some slight misses but overall lost around 3 mins. 8ish mins down on the lead which I am very happy about as every other day has been a good 20. Another top 10 result pulling me up to 12th overall :)

Scottish 6 Day - 5 - Craig A Barns
Would have appreciated a later start time but atleast I wasn't 2 mins in front or behind anyone today...
Reasonably clean with only a few slips. Took it very easy and was very cautious of the ankles.
Happy because longer courses are becoming less of a task which means I'm getting stronger :)

Apart from a 3 minute time loss on 8 it was a pretty class run. Pleased with the pace considering everything :). Happy with the result too!

Scottish 6 Day - 3 - Dundurn
Decided to try and race today because the distance and climb seemed doable. Felt optimistic going into the start box until Rebecca told me that she was 2 minutes behind me and was going to catch me up. This was playing on my mind for the fist 3 controls and caused me to some stupid mistakes. Then she caught me and I was kicking myself. We made the same mistake at 4 (went to 5 first losing another 3 or so minutes) and from there it was head on racing - kinda exciting. I was cleaner and smoother following on from 4 and managed to make a reasonable gap between us until 10 when I screwed it all up again. Just lost touch with the map and got a bit confused when the ground was different to how I expected. As I relocated and headed back towards the control Rebecca was coming out of it. Gutted. 11 was slow going through the green but from there it was just straight running so Rebecca easily dropped me. Overall around 7 and a half minutes of mistakes? Oh well.
Looking forward to a day off!!

Need to be careful not to get carried away overdo it on the training now. Really don't want anymore injuries

Scottish 6 Days - 2 - Edinchip
Again went out to train rather than race. Early start was a massive disadvantage if you were racing. Stayed pretty CAREful throughout but nearly went off the map at 2 oops. 4 was a bit dodgy as within 50m of eachother was controls numbers 124 and 134 which caused me to hesitate. Took a risky route choice to 6 to test my path running, will be interesting to see if this lost me any time. Also caught Rebecca at 6. Stayed really smooth through 7, 8 and 9 doing my own thing and not getting distracted by her. Made a mess of 10 when I confused myself with directions of paths and then also messed up in the control circle losing a good 3 minutes overall on the leg (also caught Rebecca again here). Smooth into 11, Rebecca just ahead and then took a different route choice to 12 and we got there at the same time, was a bit dodgy going into the control though, 20 seconds?. Then I just tried to stay with her until the finish but she easily dropped me. 17th is a big drop in results from yesterday but again, I wasn't racing it and an early start made it really quite tough. Definitely enjoyed it though and am looking forward to a shorter course tomorrow which I'm planning on racing.

Running 2:54:31 [2] 13.4 km (13:01 / km) +682m 10:23 / km

Went up some mountains with mum intending to run all of the down and flats. I was a bit broken so we only ran a bit but we got a bit lost (even though mum denies it)

Scottish 6 Day - Day 1 - Auchingarrich
Left my watch at home so this is just an estimate. Used it as training rather than racing it, concentrating on plan and CARE (which kinda went out of the window towards the end after my mistakes, something to be aware of). Pretty tough terrain which was hard going and I made quite a few little errors along side 1 fat mistake and a load of time loss at 10. Overall I'd say I lost 8ish minutes? A scrappy run but I'm pleased with the result! 8th is decent, just a shame I couldn't make up those 4 seconds for 5th.
