Really hope that the knee gets better, turbo will start to get very boring very soon. Also wondering if i'm not helping the knee by being on the bike, but it doesn't hurt, so reason not to stop doing it.

Game of Thrones S05E04

Not feeling too bad again this evening on the bike. Based on the weather today being indoors ended up being a good thing. Definitely a wintery day, although car was saying 17 degrees on the way home.

Physio tomorrow.

After a day spent lounging around, although did go in to watch the 2nd half of the County Final, bit dull until injury time, but the ref played extra extra injury time to give legion a chance to equalize, and then once that happened a decent scrap broke out. As per a good GAA scrap the subs came running in but didn't really get stuck in.

Just watched some telly, scared myself watching Uploaded. Some scary stuff going on with lads hanging off buildings, didn't like that at all.

Much better feeling this evening, was going to stop at 40, got to it and then kept going for another 10. So pleased with how this went.

Was volunteering at parkrun this morning so decided to get some training on the turbo done beforehand, wouldn't have done this if racing tomorrow but since i'm not I need to do something.

Watched an episode of Shameless, Series 2 Episode 1.

Definitely found this a struggle. Probably a combination of starting pretty much out of bed and also it was before breakfast. So didn't enjoy this, particularly the closer I got to finishing.

Was very tired later on in the day but did spend money on a hand held foam roller and a sliotar, will use both on my upper legs to hopefully help the muscles.

Around the pitch by the playground to test the knee ahead of Sunday. Went for a grass surface to give knee every chance.

Ran for 10 minutes and then it started to hurt, gave it another couple of minutes but no improvement.

No race on Sunday :-(

Back also a bit stiff today after circuits last night.

Circuit, thinkt the 6th week.

Went back to 2 circuits this evening but with longer time at the station. Was tough at times.

Interesting warm up, try and hit the knees of your partner! Then we did a plank race across the hall, boys versus girls. In the plank position, person by the wall then runs over everyone in the plank, when the person passes you, up and run, so either running or in the plank, across the hall and then back. Trainer said the boys lost. I'd be dubious of that call, especially with the penalty for losing being 20 burpees.

So overall a tough session.

Episode 3 of Game of Thrones Series 5

Cadence is a couple of rpm back on last time but suppose I didn't feel that it was at the same level as previous session. Could feel left leg at times, not sore, just could feel it. Upper quad is very tender today after yesterday's physio session. Stretching to do later.

Diagnosis not too bad but it's not a brilliant one either.

For starters calves are tight, but that never surprises me.

But the left knee issue is likely to have been caused by a very tight ITB. So a lot of time was spent working on that. Hopefully that sorts out the issue but will need to do a lot of work stretching wise.

Also not quite got the ok to run on Sunday, it's a check and see how it feels recommendation.

New plan for the week:
Wednesday - Turbo Trainer
Thursday - Circuits (will be some bit of a test of the knee)
Friday - Running (not that far, maybe 30 minutes or less, see how the knee feels)
Saturday - volunteering at parkrun and maybe something on the bike, indoors or out
Sunday - Cross Country hopefully
