Beaufort-Glenflesk-Lough Guitane

Body feeling tired so wasn't sure how this would go, but went ok. Headwind was tough from Beaufort all the way to Glenflesk.

Plenty of bikes out and about.

Overall happy with this, but need a few more bike rides, hopefully weather is good for St Patricks Day as i'll get out on the bike if it is.

Calf not really an issue cycling, but wasn't expecting it to be.

Note
slept:8.1 (rest day)

Since going to Limerick was a non-runner I set about finishing off making my IKEA wardrobe, was wrecked by the end of the day, but got it made in the end, looks good.

Calf not feeling too bad today, thought it might react, but could walk without too much discomfort.

Muckross

Needed to test the calf to see if Limerick was a runner tomorrow or not. Ran at normal pace, no point taking it easy, test it properly.

Was going ok, and it was a nice evening for a run, but gave up on me. So had to walk back to the car from there.

Pissed off, still.

Must have chosen the wrong activity when starting the watch, no GPS data for this.

Circuits

3 circuits, not as long as last week but plan was up the tempo.

Core work hurt a bit more for some reason.

Calf was alright, not entirely pain free, with bench hops probably causing the most trouble. I didn't do the shuttle sprints hard, just jogged them, but the running was fine.

Turbo Trainer 1:01:49 [2]
ahr:136 max:150 slept:7.3

Avg Cadence = 94rpm

This went well, the rest yesterday probably helped, felt fresh and knew that the rpms were good, particularly in the middle and towards the end.

Generation Kill E07

Got some of that OJ series saved on the box so that'll be next as I continue with Breaking Bad. Will have to make some adjustments to the set up as bike will be moving into its own room soon. Shelves went up yesterday so will have to move it in to see what sort of set-up I need. Likely that i'll buy a telly and mount it on one of the walls, just for the turbo trainer!

Note
slept:7.4 (rest day)

Felt tired so gave training a miss. This DIY lark is having an affect!
Carpets went down today so got the flatpack furniture for each room moved in. Checked that the height of the wardrobe is ok and looks like the door will open too so measurements worked out. Now to actually build the wardrobe...

slept:7.0

Maybe i'll run this week maybe I won't!

Calf didn't react well to a bit of jogging yesterday and still can feel it today. More physio needed but not sure whether to get it this week or next.

Monday - Turbo
Tuesday - Turbo
Wednesday - Turbo
Thursday - Circuits
Friday - Run (easy)
Saturday - Orienteering
Sunday - Cycling if weather is ok

I can stick to this plan I reckon, reckon it's worth going for a jog on Friday to see how things feel because no point driving anywhere on Saturday if I can't run, that would just piss me off even more.

Breaking Bad (S02E04)

Was going to spend a bit longer on the bike but decided on a shorter spin due to time constraints.

Session went fine. Definitely is warm in the sitting room. No need to start on the bike in the new house with an extra top on.
