Tried to be sensible today. Took a bus tour, which got us over and back across the Golden Gate Bridge. Bit of fog around it though, which is normal.

Road trip starts tomorrow :-)

Probably not enough rest today.
But I'd tickets to Alcatraz so wasn't wasting them.
Was waiting for the tram from the ferry to the prison, for people with mobility/health issues, old fella came along and was wondering why someone like me was waiting, then he saw my toe!

Good lunch on Pier 39.

Before getting cable car almost all the way back to the hotel.

Then slept a lot.

Monday-Sunday = Holidays
No training plans for a few weeks anyway I suspect after yesterday's incident.

Finished the race but was a struggle. Funnily enough I never considered not finishing but headed to hospital rather than hang around for the prizegiving.

Big toe not in good shape.

Not too bad a run considering it happened near 12.

Westmoreland Sanctuary

Time for course around 43 minutes.

Lost time on 2 and 10. Ended up too high for 2, had to relocate and drop back town. Smaller time loss to 10, was just left of it, but bigger issue here was my ankle. Decided to misbehave. More tape will be put on before tomorrow.

Lovely area, didn't see any green on the map. But lots of rocks and stoney underfoot.

Used paths a bit, they were there so used them. Walls were also useful features.

Early start in Dublin after limited sleep. Then over a day at work was spent in an airplane!

Some map work in the afternoon, navigating around Woodbury Common. Probably could be used for a sprint race.

Looking forward to my first run tomorrow.

And the probable pitchers for tomorrow night I have no clue what their stats mean.

Legs feeling fine today after last night. Best do some calf stretches though.

Bus strike this evening so looks like a taxi to the hotel! Think we'll miss the last bus by 5 minutes but maybe a miracle will happen and the train will arrive in early.
