Note

Feeling better today than I did last Monday so that's a good start.

Monday - Turbo Trainer
Tuesday - Running
Wednesday - Running
Thursday - Rest (UCC)
Friday - Rest (UCC)
Saturday - Turbo/Running
Sunday - Running/Cycling

Wednesday is a hopeful plan, have an idea of where I want to try and run but not sure of the timings. Will run at home if main plan doesn't work out.
7 PM

Note
(rest day)

Timings didn't work out to get planned turbo session done. Could probably have done something but had a few things to do. Not too bothered as a rest day isn't too bad an idea after running yesterday after being sick last week.

Plan was to do a good bit of stretching and use foam roller for a bit. Elvis started attacking my hands when I was using the foam roller so that didn't go as well as i'd planned. Did use the sliotar later too on the calf. Needs a bit of work.

Knockreer

HR not working. Pushing me to replace it!

Wasn't sure how this would go or even if it was a good idea given the week just gone.

Didn't kill myself today, ran handy enough, left calf felt a bit tight during the run so that kept things under control. Also didn't feel too fit after the hill up from 7.

Wasn't much orienteering to be done. Decided that planning ahead would be something to focus on for the run. Did lose some time at 4, map a bit iffy.

Getting too and from 7 was wet. Slippery on the hill then wet in the marsh.

Missed 10, hit the bigger depression higher up, the one with the tent in it! Then at 11 I lost some time leaving the control as wanted to cut down to the road but decided against when I saw the crap in between the control and the road. Then I saw a chap inside the fence, no idea what he was doing there, had a map so he was orienteering, he may well still be in there as it's a jungle!

Some controls in Killarney House Gardens at the end, and the map has now some of the streets on it.

Did feck all for the day! Apart from taking Elvis to the vet in the morning to get his 2nd vaccinations. Considering a return to action tomorrow.

(sick) (rest day)

Feeling a bit better but had to go to work, would have needed a cert to stay home! Took a half day though as needed to help Mary in Milltown. Was pretty tired by the evening so definitely not better yet.

(sick) (rest day)

Stayed home again. Feeling a small bit better but work not the place for me.

Trouble getting to sleep last night with dry mouth. Although had gone to bed to hear a can rattling outside, recycling bin had been blown over by the strong winds, so out to sort that out.

Note
(sick) (rest day)

Had a meeting in Killarney this morning but decision was made before I left that I wasn't going to head to Tralee for work, home to get better. Still feeling off, definitely some sort of virus.

Nose a bit blocked overnight so breathing through my mouth. Never known my mouth to feel so dry.

Not feeling great. Got a cold that's not really a cold and energy levels are low. Think my appetite isn't great either, that can't be a good sign!!!
