Dried up but some wind going, generally a headwind going up. As a result i'll blame that for the slower time up ladies view. Wasn't feeling fantastic, a bit of a lull half way up but got the HR up again.

Plenty of water about, every marsh and hole next to the road was full of water. Some on the road too but mainly on the way up rather than coming down.

Not a bad effort coming downhill either.

Plan at the moment is to do as much as I can between now and B day whenever that is.

Very lucky weather wise. Started raining just after I got back into my car. Was windy though but think I benefitted from it for a change.

Legs not too bad Achilles wise. Could feel it but ok overall.

Legs did feel tired for the 2nd half of the run though. Suppose that means I’ve done something in the last week or so.

Not too bad out apart from the breeze. Think it was from the northeast so had into into my face heading into town, and later on coming back from Barraduff.

Happy enough with the HR for the spin, keep the body ticking over. Increased for the tougher bits which aren’t that long on this route.

Adjusted the time to moving time. Had to stop for lights and at the bottom of the hill starting out. 3 cars coming out from town, 1st and 3rd cars turned up my road, with middle car going straight. None used indicators!

Knockreer

Legs didn’t enjoy this massively, left Achilles the main complainer. Not very bad but could feel it a small bit. Pace maybe too fast, but finding it difficult at the moment to run slowly.

Not a bad evening. Temperatures definitely higher than the weekend and was dry after a damp day. Plenty of people out walking, cycling and running.

Narcos S03 E05

Had hoped to get out on the road but started raining as I was heading home from town so turbo it was. Got to watch some Narcos so not complaining too much, definitely enjoying this series.

Body feeling tired before I got warmed up but ok then.

Upper Torc + Torc Mountain

Lap around upper torc to get a bit of extra distance, felt doing it before rather than after going high would mean I actually did it. Feeling ok.

Sheltered in the forest but wasn't the same up on Torc. Strong wind so with the changing directions of the path some parts were easier to run than others. Up near the top there was a real bite to the weather, something like hail with the wind. So wasn't pleasant. No stopping to enjoy the view, which did exist. Glad to get descending but wind into the face meant that had to be careful at times.

Sunday, and Easter Sunday at that, was probably not a good day to go running up here. Lots and lots of people on a narrow path! Big group early on, with some of them turning around I think, so had them on the way down near the bottom.

Legs ok for the run, once warmed up. And alright afterwards I think. Calves a bit on the tight side but nothing major.

Cycling 1:23:57 [3] 41.39 km (2:02 / km) +518m 1:55 / km
ahr:155 max:176 shoes: Spiuk ZS11

Early start this morning as had an Easter Egg hunt to attend.

So not much time, if any, between porridge and getting on the bike. Was actually ok climbing but could feel my stomach after starting the descent.

Not a bad morning, sun out, but chilly, a light frost.

Surprised with faster climb this morning of Ladies View than Wednesday, 47 seconds of a difference. Rode Wednesday out of the saddle but sat down this morning, will focus on sitting down in the future.

Before Torc I saw a bike up the road so that was an early target, passed 2 bikes before Dinis. Then also passed another bike quickly above Ladies View, so didn't get much benefit from them.

Lights for the roadworks not there so didn't have to worry about a break. Able to stay clipped in door to door.

Time looking average for this time of year.
