Ross Castle

Water high but didn't really affect the courses apart from the marsh near the car park between the road and the path to the west. Went through it going to 3, should have stayed on the road and cut in, definitely would have been faster.

Didn't read map enough for 4, so overshot and had to come back.

Went left of the small pond/lake going to 9, bit damp here too in places, then overshot the control.

Only other issue was 29, got to the hill, and if i'd read my control descriptions I wouldn't have had to look for it.

Managed to get out this evening after an afternoon of visitors!

Cold I felt and that was definitely echoed by seeing white (i'm assuming snow) high up in the reeks. Also wet around Muckross House, just that stretch of road, dry up from the main road on my road, and also beyond Torc. So bit colder there. Also a strong wind, think it was mainly a headwind coming home.

Legs feeling alright but they are rested. Feeling ok too despite sleep not being as it was before!

Plenty of goats out and about.

Muckross

Family home this afternoon. Mary’s parents called out so took the opportunity of the distraction to go for a run.

Left Achilles not happy despite the few days rest but some parts of this run were faster than others.

Wet earlier but dry for this run.

Note
(rest day)

Hopefully we’ll be home tomorrow so maybe if I’m lucky I might get out for a short run, to get some fresh air as opposed to anything else. Hospital is warm and stuffy.

MAYBE and LUCKY in the first sentence I suspect (know) will be normal for a while.
