ahr:156 max:177 shoes: Brooks Ghost 10

Faster than recently but this was in daylight. Was distracted by other runners at times, in particular on the way back from Torc so that resulted in a couple of faster than normal kilometres. I was chasing someone, in my head anyways, and I think since they looked over their shoulder they were trying to stay ahead of me. Helped to entertain me anyways.

Could have done something different this morning but time kind of ran away and needed to be home. Still managed to leave after Mary left for mass and got home before she did, and she only went to Muckross Church.

Hit the hill up past the farm just as ‘Maniac 2000’ randomly started playing on the MP3 player.
“ARE YOU READY?”
Helped push the effort a bit up the hill.
Got me thinking that an app to synch music to location when running might be sort of useful.

HR from watch rather than strap, it was in the wash.

Squeezed this in between breakfast and bed + carpet shopping. HR shows something wasn’t right this week as shouldn’t be this high. But got the spin done and feeling ok afterwards. Lacking some sleep though.

(rest day)

Feeling better after waking up but by the time I got home felt tired so used it as an excuse to take it easy for the evening. Means I should get to train over the weekend though. Will take 3 days off over 7.

With the sniffle still there today and feeling tired on top of it all i'll skip today's turbo. Hopefully some sleep will sort things out and i'll be feeling better tomorrow.

(rest day)

Day off as planned, had to to something on the way home from work, a waste of time as it turns out.

Felt a bit of a sniffle coming on late in the day!

Golf Course & Knockreer

Same as last week but a bit later getting out, but with the evenings starting to stretch slightly I didn't need torch too early in the run, but without it on I nearly ran head on into someone else, should really look up. Wasn't close but made me more aware.

Legs ok again, so happy with that. Nasty headwind in from the main road into the Golf course, with a bit of drizzle for extra discomfort. Other than that weather was fine.

And it's Monday again, the weeks are going by quickly. Legs definitely felt tired climbing the 1 flight of stairs to get to my office but reckon they'll be more awake later. This weekend felt better than last, didn't take as much out of me, wasn't completely wrecked on Saturday compared to the week before. Although not the healthiest of weekends food wise, and still cake left...

El Chapo S02 E10

Home early today to do some jobs in the house but after doing them and sitting on the couch It was hard to get back up again. I can take it as a positive that I did. Legs felt tired early on but distracted by episode interruption. Eventually settled after 17 minutes. But that didn’t help me wanting to actually stop but reckoned finishing the episode would be difficult if I didn’t keep going.

Wearing my new shoes for the indoor bike should have helped get on the bike on the pure novelty of wearing different cycling shoes on this bike for the first time in years. Know where I bought them but struggling to remember the year.
