Upper Torc

Had other plans for a route but changed them due to the weather, snow :-) Lads had a bit of fun in it after breakfast but there wasn’t much. I’d to get over about 200m to hear the nice hollow crunch under my feet as I ran.

Met 3 fellas walking higher up, last fella had some type of Inov8 shoes on. Spent some time looking at the ground on the way to the turning circle to see if they’d walked up and back the same way, they did. Some snow falling up high too.

Achilles feeling a small bit sore but not too bad. Not in pain afterwards. Need to keep on top of it.

Saw a few deer too today.

Preacher S02 E04

Thought this might happen later in the morning after lunch so wasn't quite ready for it. Went ok though. Had been thinking it was going to be harder to get going than it was.

The turbo was making more noise than usual. Found the issue after I finished, the tyre has split. So need to see if i've a spare or swap the front one with the back.

Breaking Bad S04 E13
Series ended with a 'bang'. Bit more action than normal so helped pass the few extra minutes that were in the episode.

Achilles feeling ok after yesterday.

Thursday Jan 21 #

Trails 36:31 [3] 6.01 km (6:05 / km) +143m 5:26 / km
ahr:159 max:176 shoes: Salomon Speedcross 4

Bit of a loop in Muckross
A variety of trails and some forest.

Achilles iffy, not that painful, but could feel it at times. Still was a nice run though, weather was good (cold).

Met a couple of people on the route, maybe people are looking for paths less trodden these days.

Vikings S06 E11 (or is it series 6 part 2 episode 1?)

Got interrupted by 2 works calls and a delivery, so not ideal. Especially when the last interruption was only a couple of minutes from finishing.

Feeling ok after resting yesterday, but sleep hasn't been great the last few nights.

Tuesday Jan 19 #

(rest day)

Still working on left Achilles.

Day off training today as lads were home. Might shift the weekly rest to Tuesdays I think, makes sense.

Monday Jan 18 #

Turbo Trainer 45:14 [3]
ahr:137 max:149

Avg Cadence = 98rpm

Breaking Bad S04 E12

Training on a Monday for a change as going to take a break tomorrow instead. Family home tomorrow so works out better.

Felt mostly ok doing this. Last few minutes went by quickly, more engrossed in the tv rather than any other reason.

Plan for the week.

Monday - Turbo
Tuesday - Rest
Wednesday - Turbo
Thursday - Run
Friday - Turbo
Saturday - Turbo
Sunday - Run

So we'll see how that goes. Don't think legs are too in favour of running. Should contact the physio but feeling a bit reluctant due to the wider picture.
