Into town, not quite direct

Hadn't planned on running early which was a good thing due to the wind/rain. Cleared up ok by lunch time. Did have some wind heading down the road but once turned towards town it was fine.

Plenty of people to avoid on the paths but only a few narrow spots. Road was quiet so could step out to avoid without too much impact on pace.

Legs feeling ok I suppose. They've had a week off. But wouldn't say they are great either. Felt ok during the run and afterwards which is the main thing.

Cold mostly gone so decided to get on the bike. Legs were fine but was uncomfortable sitting on the bike for the last 10-15 minutes.

Will see how I feel later and then decide on a plan for tomorrow. Not that I would have done Cardiac but it is closed this weekend due to around 20 trees falling Thursday night!

Cold is still there. Not desperate, but not worth training with.
No snow here though, probably some on the mountains but hard to see through the low cloud.

House smelled of smoke last night. Nearby gorse fires causing trouble. A few fire brigades passed up yesterday.

Touch of a cold since Monday evening so will skip training today anyways. Give it a chance to go away and hope it doesn't get worse.

It goes from one extreme shopping to the other. Couldn't keep hold of him today, running off in his fireman outfit. Had visions of cartons of milk splitting open when he was hitting them with his (plastic) fireman's axe.

Glad not to have to run outside in the cold, bitter.

Mostly ok but last 10 minutes I felt a bit tired. Some walking after lunch, short walk with the boys. Bitterly cold.
Right calf also felt tight after waking up but think it’s ok.
