Right calf feeling tight this morning, not an issue on the bike, stretching has helped ease it out a bit. The hills yesterday it must not have liked.

Legs didn't have an issue pedalling the bike, were moving well, and didn't have an issue being on the bike in terms of focus.

Upper Torc

Parked on Mangerton Road, definitely some burning in the open area recently, lower part rather than the part used for O.

Then ran over to Torc, down the far side, and back up the steps, before coming straight back to the car.

Lovely morning for a run. Legs feeling ok. Paths wet in places but thought they might have been worse.

Must look at getting new trail shoes, these are close to falling apart, right shoe worse than the left.

Not sure if the HR was from the sensor in the watch or the chest strap. Wore the watch on my wrist to have some feedback if chest strap isn't working. Don't normally wear the watch on the turbo since i've another watch on.

Also think maybe it's time to get a new towel for under the turbo. To have a towel for 31 years this summer is value for money. The towel I use to 'mop my brow' is probably only a few years younger than that! Got it in Barry, must figure out what year that was. Think it was on a CorkO trip to a Compass Sport event.

(rest day)

Feeling fine today.

Very wet overnight and during the day. A lot of water around. Definitely flooding in places. New lake in the field across the road from us!

Plan for the week a day late.

Monday - Turbo
Tuesday - Rest
Wednesday - Turbo
Thursday - Run
Friday - Turbo
Saturday - Turbo
Sunday - Run

So same plan as last few weeks. March next week so think I might try to get 3 runs in the week but will see how this week goes first.

HR strap not working.

Why do the Mondays that I’ve taken half days end up being hectic mornings through no fault of my own?

Pedalling felt easier today. Definitely a turbo issue I’d say.

Took the lads for a loop around the guided trail in Blue Pool this afternoon. For 18 months Oscar is well able to walk, it’s definitely a bit more than 1km and walked it all. Hard to manage 2 of them though, couldn’t prevent Erik jumping off the path into a puddle, just a puddle, not the pool.
