Legs feeling fine and started at a relaxed pace which I maintained, felt ok doing it. Running slower was needed. Legs survived it and didn't feel discomfort.

Parking the car I was wondering how good an idea it was to go running in Muckross, car was shaking with the wind, just a gust though. Only felt the wind maybe one other time when running. Had shelter from it when I probably had a headwind, and in the open coming back to the car from Torc I could definitely feel it but it was a tailwind.

Light drizzle for most of the run which was fine compared to the rain after lunch. A couple of boats on Muckross Lake too, not sure how good an idea that would be with the wind.

Plenty of traffic coming against me between Dinis and Torc.

Easy enough to get through this. Legs feeling ok. Some tightness in right calf but did some work on it with Alpha Ball ahead of tomorrow's run.

Got out with the lads early, good thing too, as weather not great in the afternoon.

Muckross & Bluepool

Did well weather wise, between some showers. Cool day. Rain started on the drive up home.

Legs not feeling 100% but didn't get worse running. Calves maybe a small bit tight. Will still plan to get a 3rd run in for the week on Sunday.

Different loop today, a mix of some road, but mainly small tracks. Bit of climb too. Quiet in the forest apart from a few deer. Only met people when I was just finishing up in Bluepool.

Lough Guitane - Killarney town

More or less same as last week but went home via Park Road as opposed to Woodlawn.

Tailwind more or less I think from Glenflesk to Killarney, and wasn't desperate into my face out Muckross Road. Moving better today so that's a positive.

Pleasantly surprised with the weather, was sunny so went for the road when I had been preparing myself mentally for the turbo, bonus fresh air. Was windy though.

Bit of wind off the lake but dry. Rain forecast so got the run done in the sun.

HR high and felt a bit under pressure. Wasn't consciously pushing so not sure. Legs ok.

Funeral at the abbey. Well over 20 cars around. Had finished as I approached so had some cars to avoid as they came against me, plus people as I went in past the abbey.

Bike was the plan and considered outside, but turbo turned out to be the option as had to collect Oscar sick from creche, so used his nap time to pedal, not to work!

Legs tired this morning but ok on the bike.

Plan for the week, back to a more normal week, hopefully. I've gone for a 50/50 split this week between bike and running, will see how that goes. Bike can now mean inside or outside depending on the weather.
