Before breakfast.
Not the nicest of mornings but mostly ok, cloud and damp on top so very quick turnaround.

Felt ok on the way up.

Was thinking of more on the way back down but felt tired on the road, or more lacked energy, so lack of food I think the issue. Banana + some chocolate weren't enough. Knew I'd be 50 minutes anyways so not too worried about more.

Was quiet on the way up but met a few groups lower down on the descent.

Right calf tight later on but not desperately so.

Nice day for a spin, some wind about but for a change I think I got the benefit of it as wasn't struggling much.

Happy with the legs today, felt good, and happy with the pace of the spin. Only place I felt like a struggle was the climb on Mill Road, other than that I was ok.

When Erik got home yesterday evening I showed him the replacement stabilisers for his bike i'd got when dropping my wheels off yesterday and said we'd put them on. Got his bike out and while I was attempting to put together the stabilisers he hopped on the bike and cycled off!!! So that's something I don't need to do, teach him how to ride a bike :-)
Although the concept of using brakes he's still getting the hang of.

Fastest time for a while, and wasn't really planned. Did notice a couple of quick km in the middle and thought that wasn't a good idea so tried to take it easier but not sure that happened. Still felt ok though, could feel an effort, but wasn't uncomfortable. In the end I just went with it.

Nice day after another monsoon to start the day. Despite only going out to drop the lads to creche i'd to change my clothes when I got home.

Dropped MTB wheels into bike shop before running, spokes needed tightening. Back wheel was rubbing at the end of yesterday's spin and when I investigated I found the spokes were loose. So no MTB until next week. Hopefully weather is ok tomorrow for the road bike.

Nice day today after yesterday afternoon's monsoon. Some wind again though so was tough going on the first stretch in the national park, could feel it elsewhere too.

Body not feeling too bad so that helps.

Definitely noticed the increase in visitors around the place, a lot more people avoiding today than recent spins so that would have affected momentum in places.

Up Mangerton Rd to come home and then via Poulnaderka, did regret that decision after entering the forest as wasn't looking forward to the furze along the path, not too bad in the end.

Mechanic had my car so ran from home. Some showers going and got caught by a couple of heavy ones. Not cold though. Had thought about the bike but it was windy so thought i'd stay safe.

Did a lap around Mangerton Road taking in Poulnaderka and Bluepool. So just over the 10km. Body feeling fine, legs ok.

Still building the bridge in Bluepool and there's another new one near the pool over the stream that you had to ford.

Good to get out in the fresh air.

Absolutely wrecked tired today, legs not too bad, just very tired. Bed at 9!
