Note

Decided to do some hill work, and in the middle of doing that, a very large cow moose showed up, intent on doing the same. Who knew that moose did hill work?

There was a brief standoff while we each asserted our right to the trail. Usually I am happy to share the trails, but it is hard to read a moose, and it's one thing to share a trail with a hiker or a mountain biker, and another to share it with a very large moose. Or even a small moose. Eventually, however, the moose moved on off back into the forest, and that was that.

Note

Attacked 13 kms of the grassy wide opens and the rushing sage steppes at Remarkable Flats and came back with both legs and arms and map in map case intact. Excellent! All this while a bunch of rainbow warrior dudes were brutalizing the Wyoming football team. The moral of this story should be clear, but in case it isn't....too bad! ; )

Note

Quite mild out today for late November, but owing to some fine wind, it didn't feel as mild as it might have. In fact, out on a bike, it was possible to become chilled (from personal experience), requiring re-warming by means of hot tea afterwards.

I had considered O', and might have done that had the sun stayed out, but the sun didn't stay out and the wind did, so instead I hung out on trails in the trees and got in some hill work.

After all that, I went to the basketball game tonight. By the time it was all done, the home team had made twenty-eight 3's, which made me wonder on the way home what the record was. It turns out that *is* the record (tied).

Note

Long T-Day run on the Happy Jack trails, including the always fine Death Crotch trail. A good bit of wind, but so what? There was 100% fun sun, and sun takes the wind.

That said, there were a number of freshly wind felled trees across the trails requiring that extra degree of agility they always do.

Sure didn't feel like winter, even though the sun was setting winter early.

Note

Sharply cooler today, not sure if it made it up to freezing or not. Definitely felt it while biking, less so while running.

Note

Nope--no new LIDAR shows up today.

Note

Tisdags Traning - intervals in the wind. Nothing like getting pushed around unpredictably in every direction possible.

Note

Longer bike ride followed by a very easy run with stops for picking up spent shells. Got enough brass for about half a pizza, so not bad.
