I was going at a decent pace in the downhill open but when I got to 9 I thought I had a lot of course left so slowed down, it was only at 20 when I realised that I had slowed way too much. Pretty annoyed at this but I still got a very respectable time and I wouldn't have made the A final anyway.

My only real mistake was going to the tree instead of the bush at 5. However I lost time getting stuck behind people who wouldn't move out of the way, entering and leaving controls and being hesitant. I really enjoyed it even if it wasn't as head-to-head as I had expected.

I was a bit shattered from standing around of all things. Had a dodgy 2, 3, 5. Really messed up 10, I was flustered from trying to get past a slow person and didn't plan ahead so ended up going down the road to the SE and having to climb back up to get stuck behind another slow person... about 30-40s. I don't know what I was doing on 12 I went wrong once and changed my route about 3 times. Here is how I was when going to 13...

I was a bit disheartened after this and probably slower because of it.

I was a bit shocked by the time though considering how bad things went and very shocked when I saw who Id beaten.
