Orienteering race (Eyam, Interland selection) 1:01:13 [4] *** 6.65 km (9:12 / km) +150m 8:16 / km
spiked:15/19c shoes: Salomon Contagrip Fell Shoes

It was a fun area tho a bit too muddy as it often is around this time of year. I only slightly messed up number 10 when I missed the optimum route and miss read the map so probably about a minute the other 3 miss-spiked controls were the last two and the finish because over the course i had got so much mud on that part of the map that even after I wiped it off the left over layer obliterated all contours (in the most countoury areas i've run in) leaving occasional rock features I had to ask someone if I could have a read of their map.. so that cost me about a minute too. Overall probably 2 and a half minutes from those and micro-route choice errors which is classed as a GOOD RUN =D my first in ages.

Running warm up/down 40:00 [2] 3.0 km (13:20 / km) +75m 11:51 / km
shoes: Salomon Contagrip Fell Shoes

Jog to the start, jog around and warm up and the epic walk from the finish =/ (probs wasn't but i was Kah-nackered =)

Note

I had a good run today but a atrociously bad result???
Im mostly consistant but tire to the end slightly (worse today because of my) but overall im a slow terrain or long distance runner I reckon so i need to improve on that.

Night Orienteering =D race (Harden Moor) 1:05:52 [3] *** 4.75 km (13:52 / km) +155m 11:55 / km
spiked:14/21c shoes: Salomon Contagrip Fell Shoes

hmm didn't like the area much last time I ran on it and that was in the day, it ranged from physical and contoury (I couldn't see the contours because my head torch was running low and the rock features were hidden my the bracken so that left the paths) to steep, brambly and muddy. Made a slight mistake on 6, on 7 I found the re-enternt a few times but not the giant boulder in it (hidden by bracken) so assumed that it was the wrong place and searched everywhere else, 8 was juts a bad compass and 9 was a parallel error. Overall about 8-9minutes of mistakes the rest of the bad time was struggling to stay on my feet with the slippy rocks, i nearly broke something after only 100m when I slipped and fell on some boulders.

Running (10K jog) 55:40 [3] 10.0 km (5:34 / km) +78m 5:21 / km
shoes: Oasics, Gel-Numbus Shoes

Longest I've ever run next to none stop =) but it got a bit boring after half-way. I ran with my dad but then on this didi hill he said he couldn't run up it so he ended up being about 3minutes behind for the rest of the way probably take 2 minutes off for opening gates, crossing cattle grids/roads and telling my dad where to go. I wasn't trying hard and the warm-up was incorporated into the 1st km so I didn't even break a sweat.

Night Orienteering =D (Sheffield uni) 13:42 [2] *** 2.8 km (4:54 / km)
shoes: Oasics, Gel-Numbus Shoes

Informal training event for the SYO club night i did the long and was going to do the short and very short but we had to go. Fairly easy but hard to read the map in fine detail in the dark whilst still running round the university. At most decision points I hesitated and didn't always make the right choice. I wasn't pushing it and I had i could have probably done it in 9minutes in the day.
