Chiropractor attacked my foot some more and told me my foot should be fine if I keep up the exercises. She said also to do Achilles strengthening and ankle strengthening because my ankle being tight was the cause, and my achilles is weak too causing rubbing and soreness at the tendon =S

Warm up + chatting

Orienteering race 1:01:24 [5] **** 5.94 km (10:20 / km) +345m 8:01 / km
spiked:16/19c shoes: VJ Supra

Course distance: 4.9km 345m climb (same climb... interesting)
Oww hamstrings.... Its allot steeper than it looks

Mistakes were all just getting on the wrong side of a crag or small hill, 1min 25 in all.

4- wrong side of a slope 25s
10- wrong side of a crag 20s
11- went off of my original route choice.. not sure if It was the best
13- wrong side of a crag - ended up getting stuck in a small tree trying to get down it 20s
15- bad routechoice
16- fast the first bit but really slow going up the hill off of the marsh then stood at the top trying to spot it for 20s when it was right in front of me. (and no, i did check my clues)
Also 20s of retrieving my compass (4 times) and map (1 time) from the man-eating Trossach heather.

The event was great fun not to mention my result, i cant wait to run there again.

Trossacks Selection race, 28th march 2010

Up at 5.45 to travel up to the trossackss......=)

Running warm up/down 30:00 [1] 2.0 km (15:00 / km)
shoes: VJ Supra

The warm up, set off early and did drills and stuff to the start, then on and off warming up and talking cus everyone is going at once =D

Orienteering race (Touch Estate) 44:15 [5] **** 6.02 km (7:21 / km) +157m 6:30 / km
spiked:21/22c shoes: VJ Supra

Middle distance: course distance 5.3km 220m climb (i climbed less according to the garmin and i think i agree with the garmin..)

Found it really tough, probably because Ive not done much training during this week. None of the recurring injuries affected my run which was good.

Chris O was 1 minute ahead, Craig T two

Started quicker than chris and had good flow on first control,
2 was a long leg but I was fine and chris was in sight from then,
3 messed up 30+s? i couldn't see the hill but was sure it wasn't further down so looked on the wrong north side, dithered but then realised my error as craig and chris were coming back up the hill,
Then it was into the butterfly and things slowed, i nearly always got to the controls first but chris was ahead on most making a mistake on most of bad RC then craig was behind,
I kept the lead into the spectator but forgot about the map-turning-over-ness and was knackered by now so was now bringing up the rear as we climbed getting further and further behind,
The tables turned again as we started to go back down and I sped past both of them but got on the wrong side of a tree (it had big thick branches) on arrival at 11, so chris got the lead to go into the finnish, but didn't beat me.

A good navigation and warm up for tomorrow, but a bad run on the physical side.

shoes: Kalanji Kapteren Track Shoes

Sort of intervals, 1min fast round track then 2min break, hard on the legs. I maybe overdid it a bit just before the Scottish w/e.
