Orienteering 1:43:24 [4]7.87 km (13:08 / km) +400m 10:29 / km
spiked:10/15c
Tarrywile Red - 60, lt drizzle, glasses fogging by mid course slowing things down. Hilly course, w lots of slabbing along hillsides.

Generally good run. Felt ok with climb. Got mislocated to 5 & 6 and leaving 6 by unmapped atv trails. Also thrown off into 5 by mapping of cliff features - seemed like many not mapped or understated. We should fix map if we use this area more.

Red - Splits

Friday Aug 30

Trail run 48:25 [2]5.8 mi (8:20 / mi)
Purple loop - Cool. Easy run recovering from Wed with a few bursts when Lyn got rambunctious on a downhill section and the road home. Working on stretching out stride/kick and toe flick. Can seem to get on a higher level when it's working.

Wednesday Aug 28

Trail run 46:30 [4]5.8 mi (8:01 / mi)
Purple loop - Starting to get cool maybe that's what happened. Set of slow/stiff but quickly stretched out legs, got into good flow, felt great. One of faster times for route.

Tuesday Aug 27

Mapping 1 [1]
Great Pond - more wandering around the trails w gps to detail area. Bad start as gps was recording 35-40m error for first 15-30 min, then 25 m, finally settled at 7-9 m. Gave much better reliability/repeatability.

Focussed on SW section which has some nice open woods, gentle terrain, NO features - can't believe CT woods w NO cliffs, boulders, deep reentrants. Totally different.

Monday Aug 26

Cycling 49:00 [3]10.3 mi (4:44 / mi)
To post office via Iron Hrs Blvd then across river and home. Nice weather but slow ride. Tired from Sunday run
