| Troll Cup gr 2 - Another poor day on this map. Ran too fast, out paced observation of terrain and didn't keep good track of position. Major bungles occurred when attacked from position other than where I was: 4 - left trail too early, 9 - off trail at wrong bend, 10 - off trail at wrong bend again. Maybe should stay in woods away from trails. | ||

| Troll Cup - Green 1 - A mix - some very good legs and some v bad. Lost 10 m at 3, 3 @ 7, 11 @ 10. Found woods thick w full leaf still so visibility poor for reading overall terrain if misplaced which happened above. Considerable time to relocate. Also found map contours imprecise, features esp rock not extensively mapped. | ||

| Discovered Sr Center has exercise equip for $5/mon, so we joined.
Did 15 min on Nustep machine - leg & arm thing with varying resistance; 10 Min on treadmill varying from 4 mph to 8 mph - in various minute intervals. | ||

| Mcleans - bushwack across Beaver Tri and on west. Tried to run on compass bearing, approx W. Kind of hard because no markings on compass. Went out for 11:05 min, around dried pond, back east took 12:31. Wound up about 75 m to N of start after correcting when hit trail twice. Again as compass was only approx., no map - was ok. Woods not too bad - few features, lots of blow downs to go over, hemlock and pine branches to duck. Over all slow going. | ||

| Brooksvale - Checking out woods with Gari and Lyn. Gari concerned woods too thick for his meet so we ran around N part of map checking potential control sites. Woods actually quite good. I've fixed the map by superimposing my map w new trails over scanned old map with veg - combined gives good representation.
Gari also had us do some training work: map memorization to next control point, and run to next point without stopping. Overall nice workout, nice woods, got back just as getting dark. Scary - a double workout. Much better woods than morning. | ||

| Might be fighting something. Gland swollen from Sat and gradually getting worse. Mostly rest today, drying out equipment from rain in VT. Will take it easy. | ||
