Tarrywile Blue - Nice spring day but course hit every hill several times. Good work out but more endurance than O. Still figure lost about 16' due errors or stopping to help. 2 down wrong tr. 4 should stay on tr. 7 headed to 9 (fig 8 course) till to late and had to slab across steep slow rocky hillside. 10 stopped to collect old control. 13 stopped to help Nina. Climbs catching up towards end.

Skiing 1 [3]
(rest day)
Easy day letting the bubbles soak thru - 32 yrs worth;}

Thursday Mar 20

Skiing (xc -skate) 50 [2]
Mcleans fields - 32, grey, few drips at end, snow firm with just enough give for good skating softening as temp rose by end. Good skate around fields - some corn stalk stubble starting to come thru, and grass patches between fields (5' or so). With rain tonight and 60's forecast for the next week, this may be the end here. Too bad as still about 15" in middle of fields but bare patches in woods.

Wednesday Mar 19

Trail run (hill fartlek) 1:22:25 [3] 7.0 mi (11:46 / mi) +146m 6:52 / km
McLeans - 40, sunny. Buttles entr/long uphill/picnic grd/back up and over summit/purple tr to brdg/horse tr home. Trails packed uneven snow or smooth blue ice. Off trail firm but also break thru post hole stuff randomly- 12"+ so stayed on trails. Generally good traction with super studs. Worked ups and easy rest of way.

Tuesday Mar 18

Road run (warm up) 26:19 [1] 3.1 mi (8:28 / mi)
Beaver loop - 52, sunny. Easy run w 2 strides. Warm - spring is here.

Orienteering 2:03:00 [1]
Rocky Neck - 65-70, sunny, some mud/ice on trails. Jogged an old (1997) score-o course with Lyn, checking routes, checking map, fighting Mt Laurel - lots - all the light green is thick ML, and trying to avoid rose brambles - mapped as green slash but has expanded since mapped, nasty stuff. Great to be on map, took our time checking routes/map details/tried some memory runs.

Can't imagine bare ground; came home to a foot but seems to be melting in neighborhod. Winter may be in relapse - boo.
