Road Cycling 1:20:00 [3] 25.0 mi (3:12 / mi)

Again, really not sure of the time as I rode to meet others and hung out for 15 minutes or so before the ride started. But it was 25 miles total and a couple decent climbs, but mostly a recovery ride from Sunday's run.

Trail Running 2:30:00 [3] 12.0 mi (12:30 / mi)
shoes: Teva X-1

Second half of the Wapack trail, including the new section which was marked most of the way (but not all) and was borderline bushwhacking for a big stretch (more blow down than bushes to whack). Also stopped three times to a) help lost hikers, b) find the trail where the reroute was not marked, c) stop to talk to a couple fellow runners we knew going to other way. Over-dressed, too, with a long sleeve black shirt and pants. Should have been mid-50's and raining but ended up being nearly 70 and sunny and that really kicked my butt. Still, it was good to see the second half of the course and run with friends (SM, SC, and DG)

Mountain Biking.Trail 1:30:00 [3] 12.0 mi (7:30 / mi)

Not really sure of the distance. Went exploring on the bike and found the logging road to Kidder Mt, rode it a good part of the way, and then got stopped due to excessive blowdown and lack of use. Went back and found route to Mud Road. Love the bike.

Road Cycling 1:00:00 [3] 18.0 mi (3:20 / mi)

Short lunch ride. Windy day. Legs felt a bit better than the other day. Not as fatigued.

Trail Running 1:48:00 [4] 8.0 mi (13:30 / mi)
shoes: Teva X-1

Wapack North Time Trial with BB before work. 1:48 total. 56 minutes to the top of Pack. Legs a bit tired from Sunday but did better than i thought I would so soon after.

Road Cycling 1:00:00 [3] 17.7 mi (3:23 / mi)

1 hour lunch loop. Rode with SH.

Dirt Road Run 30:00 [2] 3.5 mi (8:34 / mi)

Wicked easy short run. Very creaky and sore from Sunday's run. Truly jogged for 15 minutes, stretched for 5, then jogged back. Flat, flat. flat. The stretching helped.

Mountain Biking.Trail 1:30:00 [3] 10.0 mi (9:00 / mi)

Really not sure of the distance. Social mountain bike ride on fun and technical terrain. Some short pushes on climbs, but mostly playing and getting used to my new 29'er. Love it. Rode with GTA.

Trail Running 2:15:00 [4] 10.0 mi (13:30 / mi)
shoes: Teva X-1

Ran first 10 miles of the Wapack Trail starting from the north. Got to top of pack in 55 minutes which is pretty on-par with last summer.

fairly easy short run

Saturday Apr 3, 2010 #

Road Cycling 2:27:00 [2] 40.5 mi (3:38 / mi)

Easy spin, trying to feel like myself again after the EFix

Road Cycling 1:47:00 [2] 31.5 mi (3:24 / mi)

Things feel tight after the Efix. Easy spin. Great to be out in shorts. Got the first evening BBQ whiff... smelled great. Spring peepers, too! Oh, and first dead snake in the road of the season.

Notes: Sad day. Lost my bestest training partner. RIP Buddy the Dog.

Trail Running 2:34:00 [4] 32.4 mi (4:45 / mi)

Trying a new back woods road and trail (95% off pavement) run route to work with detours through Temple, New Ipswich, Wilton and Greenfield, NH before looping back to EMS Base Camp. Long run for mid-week but if I can bang this out twice a week, I should be ready for the Untamed.

Notes; With pack/laptop on back. Stopped twice to send Blackberry email.
