Trail Running 1:03:00 [3] 7.0 mi (9:00 / mi)
shoes: Teva X-1

S-of a -B. Did I ever hit a toe hard against a stump today. I think I may loose it. Anyone got a violin? OK, just happy to go run (with SH) while it was not actually raining, but water galore everywhere. I'm Ok with that. It slows you down, but if you breathe through your gills you recover much quicker.

Kayak 2:00:00 [3] 8.0 mi (15:00 / mi)

Actually not sure of the distance, but will try to download later from that Garmin I boight but have yet to fully figure out. It did help me find the launch in the dark-cool. Three loons out there on Island Lake in Stoddard, NH. Gorgeous lake, even with a light rain. My paddle fitness is not good. I start to lose technique after a while and really have to focus....

Road Cycling 1:42:00 [3] 33.35 mi (3:04 / mi)

Grabbed a brief break in the rain and it's a good thing. It's pouring again. Somewhere between a 2 and 3 for intensity, my first "real" workout after the Cradle of Liberty. Didn't push it but tried to keep moving along. I really love this new bike- i just wish the rain would stop so I could ride more. Here is the route, http://www.mapmyrun.com/route/us/nh/peterborough/7...

Road Cycling 1:00:00 [1] 12.0 mi (5:00 / mi)

Helping group at work get readyf or the Peterborough Triathlon so today was oour first group workout- 6 mile bike to and back from Norway Pond where we did a swim. I stayed with the slowest on her hybrid beast. I rode my mt bike in my sneakers on top of eggbeaters hoping that might help level the playing field but... well, it helped and she did a fine job.

Swim-Open Water 20:00 [2] 0.7 mi (28:34 / mi)

First open water swim of the year and second one for 2009. Trying to get back into technique or what I ever had of it. I'm not a good swimmer by any triathlon standards, but I do move forward in the water and don't sink or drown. That last one is a big plus. Water was warm at Norway Pond- no wetsuit needed!

Trail Running 1:00:00 [2] 5.5 mi (10:55 / mi)
shoes: Teva X-1

Really easy paced trail run with SH who brought his GPS to help us map out the new pond trail we found. We also found a trail that led us away from the pond/swamp up to the back of the Peterborough Players Theatre and the home of Lulu and Norma who were out gardening and said that we were welcome to run through. Apparently, that is almost all their property and they have no idea who cut the trail around the pond, which kind of bothers them, but they also said whoever did it did a good job so they seemed OK about it. Very friendly and welcomed us through any time. Fresh moose tracks in the trail, too.

Back to the run, legs started out very tired and sluggish but actually weren't nearly as bad as I expected they might be. I feel much better after this race than TLDaN. probably because the rain slowed us down so much.

Road Cycling 1:30:00 [2] 21.12 mi (4:16 / mi)

Led the Monday Night Ladies ride. Turned into a paceline clinic so we weren't especially fast but it was a good skill session and the group had fun and learned a lot! They were doing great by the end and will only get better. Pretty easy going pace which was perfect and it was zero effort for my legs, just as I had hoped. Now I'm going home to stuff my face with pizza. ha!
