Event (NOY 6) 1:13:11 [4]

Ummed and aahed about what I'd do today. Needed to break in new shoes but departure from home was getting later and later. Also wanted to be quick about leaving so as to maximise our garden rambling time.
Well most of that didn't go to plan. So I started in a wayfarer mindset on the Short Hard and that was a waste of time so snapped out of it and put some effort in. Very happy with first 2 controls then i entered Goldilocks land - too low on #3 then too high on #4, #5 was OK and #6 then fiddled with the last one!! #8.
Pleased I knuckled down - i keep saying I am getting less bush exposure ie terrain running so i shouldn't shirk it so I spent very little time on tracks but when I did I was pleased with how i used them.
Temp was getting a bit high by the end and the whole feel was of scary summer.
Feet - no blisters which was a surprise, a bit of rubbing here and there but very tired/sore and pleased to be off the very hard and rocky ground. Changed at event and off to Open Gardens.
