gym class (PF Active) 46:00 [3]
shoes: white puma

Last minute change of class to enable me to go with b-i-l and s-i-l to legal/financial meeting. When I did the swap of class it also seemed like a good idea following on from yesterday's heat and this afternoon's event. But weather a lot cooler, but no less humid. Done now! Jacque telling me I should do an easier class on Wednesdays anyway - if the weather is OK not necessary.

Street Series (#14 Fletcher North) 41:35 [3]
shoes: grey/white

Grumble tirade later when i cool off.
Drizzle so a perfect afternoon for an event. New map too and what a brilliant area.
Early in the day i had to do some family financial business at a bank.Used sanitiser dispenser fine - but being aware of social distancing etc the only lace I could stand to avoid the next teller was beside the sanitiser station, which detecting my presence (not hands underneath just standing beside) continued to dispense at a rapid rate three times collecting various parts of my person. Funny at the time.
To the event: started off with a provisional plan on a map with 4 quasi peninsulas into wetlands area. changed plan pretty quickly and all going well until my furthest control when no "ping", 3 people saw me there to confirm correct position. Decided to have to stoop and check phone - yep app had turned off. So get phone out of puoch, turn off, turn on wait, wait, wait log in again (and not having faced this before) and wonder will my course/points/controls/time start again? Touched resume and lo!! ping so continued on. Was keen for good run today so very disappointed to have lost maybe 3 minutes in time let alone all the other possibilities. Oh well not my day today. Continued on with altered route, meaning lop off one of the peninsulas. Realising that the only viable route between peninsula and just one control of my last peninsula was via a track which went 40m from the Finish and so skirted as far away as possible but NO the Finish jumped out and grabbed me with 3:45 to go and easily time to get at least part of the peninsula done. Technology strikes again. Disappointed I did a constructive grumble to Planner who acknowledged the flaw in Start/Finish flags and agree to add in1 of the controls I was aiming for - very kind - but I had to send him an email to remind him. Got home, composed an email pressed send and "failure". The final indignity!!! Resent a little later.

The sum of today's proceedings is Technology 4 d tinytoes 0
