This wasn't planned! Distracted by Admin duties I went to Start minus my control description holder - necessary as no descriptions on map. Back from Start to Arena then return. Washing hands after w/c visit I realise no SI stick. Panic as time very short - back to Arean AGAIN and to Start AGAIN with 90 seconds to spare. I was ready to run - knew that I'd be fine for the Sprint but would suffer later in the day.

Event (SL3 - Uni Sprint) 24:44 [4] 2.3 km (10:45 / km)

(Distance straight line). Very happy with how I attacked this run - follows QLD runs on Uni campuses and earlier this year in Park series so not very different - for us no worries with levels. Map was great - but is reaching the clarity level - so complex. Thought #7 was too cute. Provided lots of entertainment for students on campus. It was very interesting to see so many people engrossed weaving their way around the campus. Event arean was great - a beaut way to kick off the weekend. Hope I can make it through this afternoon's MD.

Event (SL 4 Pelaw Main Colliery) 48:48 [4] *** 3.2 km (15:15 / km) +55m 14:03 / km

A Denis course on a Denis map - beautiful! Well set and challenged us nicely. Felt a little tired on the way to the start and expected it would dissipate on the course. Was going OK but not as sharp as should be - so really had to concentrate which served me well on this Middle Distance course. A bit off the pace but pleased with both effort and result.Horrid up the finish shute - flet like I was running in treacle - the longish soft grass was a killer.
Really struggled helping to pack up and drive home was very long. By home I was very stiff and had difficulty in walking. rockman the same. Shower was helpful and yet more liquid intake helped but expect a very restless night. Early start to get to event for Rego set up. Hope weather holds - beautiful day today - so lucky.

Mini-cramps still evident during the night - in all parts of legs. Not actually getting to the full cramp just a hint and very localised. I guess it must relate to how much I'm doing and how little I'm stretching.

Tough day - really good variety. Should "man" up next time and do the long run - still can't push myself to the very limits as I always want to know I can complete a session. Astounding news for the week: the revolting carpet is to be replaced next week by a wooden floor - not totally sure it will be sprung though! Yipee! But they should be able to afford it - every class is 40+. PF

For a Body Pump class this was a 4 - upped all weights and struggled with some - a good level of struggle and completed all sets (maybe some 7/8 but good). Felt really good but will need to not get over-confident. PF

Legs and toes. I found today I can stretch my toe and even wiggle it; almost its natural colour and size.

A new recruit to the gym and she'll do quite nicely I believe. Good solid class - which she read very well. Lots of variety - but I noticed that the class was 10 minutes shorted than other gym so I need to watch slipping back into only managing 50-60 mins instead of over 60 strongly. HZ

Prior to class at new-old gym.
Quite some changes, but apart from the removal of asbestos, they are mostly cosmetic. BUT in the Exercise Room there is the largest fan in the southern hemisphere. I swear it is 6m in diameter. It is suspended from the roof and is very impressive. I was looking for the rest of the plane. Fortunately it is very quiet and on the lowest setting it was very evident - and today was cold already. HZ

Upped weights by 50% for back, chest. Felt the effects of no rest day from weights recently so tomorrow's the day - well that's the plan. Weird being in a class of 14 as against 40 - but a lovely sunset to look at out the windows. HZ

Pushed a little harder today - the juniors entertained themselves so I could focus on me. Nice Mothers Day (transferred) weekend with the boys. Tested the toe by doing a 10 minute run on treadmill - all seems OK so pleased to be back OK. Old gym reopens tomorrow - yay! now for some awesome choices. rockman will never find me now.
