walking 55:00 [2] 3.9 km (14:06 / km)

Placing and bringing in controls at Brickworks and a bit of running out on the course with them - last visit here for school. Kids did longest line course - taking about 12-17 minutes. Brittany navigating fairly well. Then they did 6 of the controls as a loop match race relay. Kids 1 d Staff 0. A little cooler but still pretty sweaty.
5 PM

warm up/down 41:00 [3] 3.2 km (12:49 / km)

A bit more solid warm up than I was anticipating - Brittany is getting faster and for longer. she did very well with decision making but still need to make her carry the map all the way. Next week it'll happen.
6 PM

Event (Wetlands - Park tour 3) 26:24 [5] 3.19 km (8:17 / km)
ahr:147 max:161 rhr:110 shoes: adidas

Great course set by Shane and Caroline. I really liked the use of the area. Bit pooped by the time I went out. Will log HR later. Busy, busy day. No nav problems nor route choice just a little stutter looking for track to #7.
Edit: HR - holey dooley - highest av in a while.

gym class (Shape and Tone) 50:00 [3]

Some parts of this were Intensity 4 which is good. I made it all the way through the legs section - first time in aaages. Still could go for another 15 mins I think.
1 PM

walking 15:00 [2]

Course checking for next week at Blue Gum Hills. Brilliant find of permanent course in all its glory.
4 PM

gym class (Fat Burner) 1:00:00 [3]

Pretty much the same thing as usual. Was feeling a bit sleepy at the start. I think it has to do with not eating at the right time and not sleeping for enough, Yes I am going to rehabilitate myself starting tonight.

gym class (Body Pump) 55:00 [3]

This was a shock to the system as during the first track I realised that I'd missed the last 4 such classes (2 Monday - Girl Guides, 2 Thursday - Board and quick dash to Kandos) so any thought of upping weights might be brave. Good return to class - happy with effort.

Event race (Palmers Creek Quarry) 1:04:50 [3] *** 5.9 km (10:59 / km)
spiked:11/18c

This certainly was much-needed cobweb clearer - and a lesson in which I found I couldn't trust my instincts; couldn't follow terrain; couldn't run and couldn't follow a compass bearing. The two things I did fairly well was to estimate distance and unfortunately I did quite well on making things fit.
Was out for a very long time, though rockman tells me I got a couple of legs on him near the end - don't know how. So it was good nav training for the next couple of weeks. Started a lot later than planned as helped CCN new members into NCN ways. Feet pretty tired now - oh shoes are terrible. At least no blisters. Missed my mates - I'm sure they all would have beaten me - so their loss.

gym class (Body Sculpt) 1:00:00 [4]

This week the focus was on weights and cardio so interval/circuit type set up. Air con stuffed so eventually we were too. Would have been really a challenge had I been able to go yesterday to Pump. This was tough - even my legs were sweaty and that never happens.
