Volunteering at Callaghan. Surprised at the high attrition rate today - of 65 who started only 60 completed. And no they aren't lost!

Tough class on core and ab strength. A run after each of a 40-30-20 core 3 exercise round. First run not impressive at all, 2nd better and 3rd better still.
Liv said we should think of her over the weekend when our abs reminded us. I told her afterwards I'd think of her for a whole week as one of the 40-30-20 was full sit up with weight. My tailbone gets burnt by the friction. She says it is the same for her and she understands... so thanks a lot Liv!

Sweltered all day so lazed around reading. Wanted to go and was resigned to walking again should the weather still have been hot. But apparently the cool change came through before 2pm except we'd kept the house closed and I didn't feel it until I stepped outside to drive to event. So no walkies for me.
Waratah is a very hilly map and the assembly was on top of one of the hills, and I'd hoped to come home with a breeze at my back to help with the inevitable uphill return.
A+K Morris had set a great course and I heard many people say they couldn't work out the best route to maximise points. I felt there was only one way for me and so i set off, allowing a few options to add (unlikely) or subtract - very likely.

S-1E-3B1D-2E-3C- knee started to feel clunky now and that was yet one more niggle, jointwise, I've acquired over the past week - 1M-3D- added in 1L figuring I'd not be able to get 2D later - 1P-2J-1R-3E confirmed 2D wasn't a goer - 1N-F. Saved a few seconds by bush bashing but even though part of the last leg was downhill (after the clue at the bikies' house) most of it was uphill and even the very strong wind couldn't save me from losing 2 points.
Quite enjoyed the course - I hope the fast people did too. MessEng - if you are reading this... for a while I was 2/3 of top. It seemed there was a clump of 30-34s but with macey sweltering up north, BertBennett not partaking, Moose setting, Stephen Craig away and only Rob V a major threat it was interesting for those waiting for the pointy end results. Even Stuart K was in the 34 clump. However they didn't notice that Andrew MacLeod was making his Christmas appearance from Germany and he is really fast! and clever too.

Clues were clear, though some of the house signs were in script and some careless people didn't read accurately. Very overcast and blustery.
Thanks Andrew - really enjoyed it.
