walking 39:55 [2]

Offered to do parkrun set up today which meant I started out from The Forum at 7am armed with 150 cones to put out to entice the parkrunners to go in the right direction. This took 31 mins as I didn't have to go out and back. I did put some thought into this having witnessed a lost runner last week. I was rewarded by some visitors from Mennai who commented on them being easy to follow, which was nice. We had some refugees from Blue Gum Hills (jennycass,Tash and tRicky that is the one I did the last day of Xmas 5 Day near Tank Paddock) because the Park is closed due to fire restrictions etc. Tank Paddock would have been off limits too.
Was intending to decamp once 8am arrived but 2 volunteers didn't turn up so I stepped in and did bar code scanning also. Nice time finding out people's names and briefly chatting. Learned another thing to do left handed (scanning) but couldn't sort tokens at the end (token person took off).
Then walk back to The Forum but cross country this time and only 8 mins worth. Still very sticky so home to a shower and lots of liquid.

gym class (Body Sculpt) 1:00:00 [4]

Not nearly as bad as I had anticipated and survived reasonably well. focus was on legs and shoulders with just some internal running to get different movement.

gym class 46:40 [3]

I found this course the most difficult this year for me to organise - and I really appreciated it! Thanks. Think Bax must have picked the 2 mural controls I visited.

My original plan was:

1E,1K,2A,3G,1D,3B,2B,1C,1A,2C,2G,2D,1S,3A,1H,F..... but changeable depending on how going. When I changed my plan I just could not let go of getting 3A - don't know why and that was my downfall!

What I did do was:

2B,1A,2C,2G,2D,2L,1M,1P,2J,2K,1G,3A,1B,3B (as punishment for letting 3A suck me in and stopping me from getting other below the line controls),F.

Weather was very kind. Lovely chat afterwards with Bridget, Tom, setter mapgirl, JoyG, Brock, PowA. No mossies!!!!

Usual class but some explanation for yesterday's incredible heat in the room. Air con being serviced and repaired.

gym class (Cross Trainer) 1:00:00 [5]

I don't know if this was ever a good idea. With temps at 30 at 9am and going to an enclosed space for torture wasn't sensible but about 40 of us did. Perhaps I should trade my Stress Test appointment this afternoon for a psych consultation.
But I did manage all of it quite well except for the first run - as usual. Save Us rounds of High Knees, Burpees, Squat Jumps - 60 of each with no one allowed to win twice. Strangely I seemed to be always about 80% complete - but that was pretty good. So with no one winning twice I miraculously won the second round of Star Jumps. I think others went to sleep and lost count.
Two runs - first lap was the usual struggle, but as I was finished first in the last round of deep squat- high pull/ lunges up 6-10 it was 1.5 laps for me. This was faster than 1 lap about 10 mins before.

Drank and drank afterwards. Now for some cooling down before revving up in "To Failure" Stress Test this afternoon.
1 PM

running (Stress Test) 16:00 [5]

Stress Test to "breaking". This wasn't the usual time of ramping up - it was full on fairly quickly. Wires attached everywhere and running in the raw under a white coat was quite strange. Scan beforehand, lots of readings during and scan immediately afterwards (hence the lack of clothing).
All good news and some tips to get over the 'slow to start' problems. So no pacemaker, no concerns at all, no problems in the past either apparently. So told to go for it - and the good thing is the attending specialist is both an orienteer and MTBO and knows about parkrun so he knows what I do.
OK that's that ticked off.
