Set up for parkrun. Very cool in the rain forest walk section but absolutely beautiful morning.

Right on time and as I walked into class I heard the "charming" tones of Count Lewis so it was 4 steps in and a very speedy 3 out. Didn't quite feel like Cycle Ints again so hopped on treadmill for a warm up to see what idea I warmed to.

running 30:00 [4] 5.0 km (6:00 / km)

OK on a flat treadmill course but was surprised how good this felt.I initially was going to do 10 mins but liked it so much stayed for 5km. Oh how I wish this was a real time for parkrun and it always confuses me as to why it is so very different. Anyhow I enjoyed it. I'd thought about doing the Long Sprint course map i keep in the back of the car...just in case... but it is beside the lake so very exposed and the wind was cold today, plus ground would have been wet underfoot.

A few tough bits but quite happy with effort and not feeling any after effects of the weekend's escapades. One thing I did notice was the slight feeling in rear delts - obviously after yesterday. Really? only 10 days off weights? Really?

This was surprisingly good - felt better in the shoulder presses (triples and all) than for a long time. And noted profile in mirror - maybe 5 days without food has had an effect - better stay away for school reunion! in 3 weeks time. Which reminds me - high heels practice needs to start.

Think this is over. I'm certainly over it. Sick of clear fluids.. that aren't alcoholic.


Well enough by late afternoon to climb onto the roof to clear out the gutters and back on the ground refill after cleaning the pond. Lovely afternoon and just pottering around for about an hour and a half.
