warm up/down 5:00 [1]

Late arrival to the extent rockman jettisoned me in the carpark and told me to warm up by running to the start. Did a few shiccanes and then to start. No puffer either so despite my anticipation of some improvement I was doomed from the start.

Park Run (Callaghan) 38:51 [3] 5.0 km (7:46 / km)
shoes: grey/white

Bit disappointed with this as I'd been steadily improving at Blackbutt and hoped it wold carry over. Nice day, just a tiny bit warm but very humid. Ages since a genuine parkrun at Callaghan.

Start-steps Rainforest walk -10:46 some very slow patches.
Steps - cone 18:51 (8:04) not a good section at all, despite some patches of good running but never for long enough
Cone - steps Rainforest Walk 26:04 (7:13) Did some running up the hills here but still slow when not

Steps - Finish - 38:51 (12:47) Just happy to finish - could tell it was tell it terrible.
Lovely chat with Magic and Homa after and Anne, who knows me but I don't know her.... until now.

gym class (Body Sculpt) 55:00 [4]
shoes: bright pink

Similar set up as last week with cardio warm up, then stations last cardio blast then strength and stretch. But this week seemed to go more quickly. First question- do you want to run today - it's hot. No OK go find a cardio machine and do 5 mins. Where do I as a non- runner go and especially as I warm up slowly? Yep treadmill. Then later more running and then more running. I don't understand me.

Street Series (Land of Open Drains) 46:12 [4] 5.4 km (8:33 / km)
shoes: grey/white

Starting in the usual spot 'cos there ain't nowhere else - so it would always entail up out of the dish but at least it would be down at some stage. It was quite difficult to get a good route planned. I over heard the other starters mumbling so when the beeps went we all took off in the same direction. Now this was very reassuring but I went to the second control I should have and in so doing decided to not only reverse the order but to ignore the last quarter of the planned route and make up another one.
All was going fairly well so on the way in I decided to pick up one last 2 pointer and maybe lose 1 of the points, BUT when I got there I realised I'd come from a different direction to one I'd been to before. So not only did I not get points but I lost 2 for being greedy/late.
Still fairly happy overall. Only brief conversations as had to get home by 6.

gym class (Body Pump) 1:03:00 [3]
shoes: bright pink

Very full class today so sacrificed my middle weights to someone for whom they are the light ones. Ho Hum.
Note: sore throat - hope it doesn't develop to anything else.
12 PM

gym replacement activity 1:30:00 [2]

Bit humid, especially in Middle Earth garden.

Smorgasbord 50:00 [3]
shoes: bright pink

Never a wise move to arrive late to a Cory class and so it was today. But my body is suffering from a hangover (not alcohol induced) just exhausted from 3 months of non-stop activity. So I wimped out and did Smorgasbord.
30 min bike
10 min very brisk walk
10 min run

Note

Just about ready to crash! Had another poor night's sleep but I didn't think i was worried about the rogaine. And I shouldn't have been. I think everything went well - though we actually started 1 min late due to extra lucky draw prizes but it was worth it. The funny hats were great! Ended up being a bit hot especially in the gullies but on the exposed parts the glorious sea breeze was very welcome. No one was more than 7 mins late, food was fantastic and Sam got great compliments on the course. So now just for Rogaine presentation and thank you dinner on Thursday and then O Club presentation next Sunday for Bush season and the stream of "major" projects which has been going since mid-August at the rate of 1 per week is finally over. Looking forward to "Christmas" holidays which I haven't had since 2005 - weird!
