Street Series (Speers Point) 44:40 [4]
(injured) shoes: grey/white

Not very happy with route choice - well below par for maximising points but was OK I guess. Tried too hard to avoid hills knowing it would cut into points availability but hoped to do better on the flat. Very strong southerly so tried to not run too far into it either. Well all that sounds pretty wimpy!
Turned about 3 points too early so another hit to the total but was determined not to be late. Managed to pick up a 1 pointer past Finish and get back in time... well I was told it was on time as watch faded and died when i pressed split! AGAIN. Stupid weak battery (watch not me). Could tell I'm on come-back trail. Will be interesting to work out distance later.
Didn't stay around to chat - too cold and feeling a bit like I need to crawl away and hide - holidays over... feeling mumphy!
Note: ran about 500m in stupid directions and had I put that distance to good use could have snared another 6 points. Well I was just out to test my foot wasn't I?

parkrun volunteering at Blackbutt, successfully completed Timer duties. Was amazed at the discussion about the training regime 5 of the others are doing (they are in my gym class so a few pennies dropped there) for The Comrades Run in June in South Africa. For those locals - doing 35km then 6 reps of Maddison Drive on Australia Day - how's that?

walking 28:00 [1]
(injured)

Sedate walk to pharmacy to get some more subtle dressings. Overcast and very humid but very enjoyable. This is definitely a sign of cabin fever when a sedate walk is embraced.

Tending my wounds - inflicted by skin specialist. Not to exert myself for 4-5 days - and this is just biopsies. Only good side is I can't run so foot getting extra R&R to recover. HO hum!
