gym class (Cross Trainer) 1:00:00 [5]
max:180 shoes: white puma

Best class - even at Cory's standard - in ages. And good achievement in running section. The count for the day was 10-8-6-4-10 in everything. Two HR sections - the first was a little alarming ie more than the 180 it was on the second reading. Knew it was high but no dizziness or shortness of breath or distress - apart from what would be expected. Pretty pleased with that. I'm thinking that in 2 weeks time classes will be a bit different - Cory's getting married at 3pm somewhere in the vineyards as she's doing Nulkaba parkrun beforehand. Her partner Jo isn't too fussed and has threatened to hide her joggers.

Note

The day when 2 "wrongs" did make a "right".
Poor weather forecast so plans for back up games day were made. Pulled out all the favourites and developed a couple more. Overnight heavy rain so a course was never going to be on. :-((
Arrived at school to be greeted by Admin wearing a princess dress complete with tiara! Principal greeted me wearing a Lion King costume ( which i cannot describe!!! )Yep - Book Week Parade Day so even on a sunny day getting the kids to do a Line course with conviction was going to be a challenge. Confined to COLA, unfortunately the hall was being used by the Dance teacher. So several Harry Potters, Constable Panda, Peter Pan and Wendys, Mr Fox and various Capt Jack Sparrows played Jigsaw Relays, Punch Relays, made mountains with blankets and put contours on the hills - schools are wonderful places!

Note

Meant to mention - I was overtaken at parkrun on Saturday by an Olympian - not Usain Bolt but the wonderful Kurt Fearnley.

Shae stepping in for Cory. Now if Cory has a penchant for burpees Shae has an obsession. Last year Shae did burpees while the Ferleigh 15km was running - she did burpees non-stop for an hour.
Good solid session - most burpees we had to do in succession was 21 as she turns 21 at the end of this month.

Around Brickworks Park - field check. Wow the park looks amazing - quite a few changes, but not going to worry about map corrections as in keeping with mapping standards.

Excitement for the day: while I was walking around I spotted a male person dressed in coat and beanie and thought - he looks like the vagrant who I've met previously (but virtually annually) on my early morning set ups for Gala Days. He smiled, saying "You back again? What you do with those kids is awesome. It is great". Now this is the guy who has to vacate his "spot" when I zoom in with kids for the day. While I keep friends with everyone, I figured it was a good idea to be friendly with him. But to have his ringing endorsement is... interesting.

Stuffed up km markers so the 13:22 is actually 1.5km so taken it proportionally. Only ran the last bit of the finish straight so final 1km not as fast as the jog from the Westcott Way marker.
Earlier times are faster so middle isn't much of a gain.
