Lots of fun helping out at NSW MTBO Champs - Sprint and Middle distance.

Cool and foggy - just perfect. Good long warm up, little time in the prelims so thought I'd be good to go. Going fairly well though not as well as I'd hoped but thought the second half might be better than usual. It wasn't. Got to about 2.7km and felt spaced out and as someone who'd been tailing me overtook me and said "thanks for being my target, bunny" - all in a nice way it was all i could do to not throw up. So walked a bit but not quickly then felt dizzy. Thought I could run a little bit downhill - nup! Not that either. After about 3 or so minutes gathered my wits and felt a bit better and started off again. All back to normal. So again that 3/4 barrier. I won't even eat half a banana next week beforehand. So disappointed - not for the pathetic time but for the spew sensation.

Thought I was going OK but couldn't seem to accelerate. Perhaps it was because I was visualising Callaghan parkrun and got slow in the hilly bits. Overall fine - just puzzles me with vast speed differences week to week.

Excellent class made even more enjoyable by a couple of my "performances". Didn't anticipate to be in the top 3 for 5 mins of cardio - 30 toe taps, 10 slide jumps, 10 Stars - if in first 5 finishers add 10 to toe taps - lasted up to 90 toe taps, 10, 10 and then "fell" to 4th place. Super happy with that. Also did 2 longish runs without stopping (not achieved for ages) so very happy with that.

Feeling much better today - last few days seemed like a cold (without the mucus) or altitude sickness (without the travel).
Even upped triceps weight today without misadventure, so another tick off the "list".

Still feeling out of sorts. It's a bit like altitude sickness feeling, even with the slight giddiness aspect. Can't have yet another Rest Day so was going to turn legs over at gym. The idea of coastal walk floated past, but I heard rain on roof again - what??? so back to gym it is.
