warm up/down (Walking) 16:00 [1]
shoes: grey/white

Very pleasant lakeside walk.
8 AM

Park Run (San Remo) 37:02 [4] 5.0 km (7:24 / km)
shoes: grey/white

Journeyed to San Remo to achieve my 20th different location parkrun. What a gorgeous parkrun area - flattish, beside lake, sheltered, still, warm just beautiful parkland all the way and a few bridges to keep it interesting. Intro was a bit basic and then off!
S-1 7:39
1-2 7:11
2-T 3:39
T-3 3:42 (7:21)
3-4 7:23
4-4.5 3:50
4.5-F 3:34 (7:24)
Very happy to not had last week's excitement. Beautiful parkrun, very friendly people and were it not 50km and 50min away I'd do it a lot more often.

9 AM

warm up/down (Walking) 6:00 [1]
max:124 shoes: white puma

Opted for reduced warm up - seems it doesn't matter how long so didn't need to waste time

Gym5 23:58 [5] 5.0 km (4:48 / km)
ahr:145 max:154 shoes: white puma

Interesting to track HR - this is what I thought it should be but recent weeks readings have been much lower. I thought I was working hard - and I was. NO sign of pounding or dizziness - hope that stays that way.
Note: ate 1 tub yoghurt 1.5hr before.

Wednesday May 15 #

9 AM

gym class (Cross Trainer) 1:00:00 [5]
shoes: white puma

This was a very enjoyable class - not fun as TT would say - more rewarding and challenging than fun.
During the warm up we were asked to form lines - 5 of them across the room, self seeded (or is that self ceded?? )I put myself in the slowest group as I take a while to get going. Then Cory started giving us numbers. I scored #1. When the numbers came it it was to go for a long run to the Trotting track and at supposedly 10 second intervals (absolutely not so), but it meant I was out the front and obviously the easy one to catch. Did i say i wasn't going to run today? as we have WOD event this afternoon. But #1 was called and off I went. When we get a time it is absolutely assured there will be another run of same distance. I managed a 9 second improvement later. More activity - all about legs today - and then i was back out in the spotlight again - short run this time - seemed not to be caught by nearly as many people this time. Again timed so i was in for it again - this time i managed a 14 second improvement. Happy with that. Then the 5th time numbers came up - but I was thankfully the last to go this time as it was burpees and tuck jumps (by this time I was warmed up but seriously unco with tuck jumps). Hardest class in a long time - but very enjoyable.
4 PM

Event (Park event) 32:00 [3] 3.3 km (9:42 / km)
shoes: black+blue

Celebrating World Orienteering Day with low key event at Islington park. Much quieter and drier this time. so pleasing to see the park being used by so many people in different activities.
No problems with run - sub optimal route choice a couple of times and just couldn't see a control at #7 based on running to centre of circle - not deigning to look at control descriptions. I decided circle was on fence corner, but descriptions thought the tree 2m away was better. Lost about1:50 according to splits. Happy to be on the board - enjoyable evening.
A lot of work relatively speaking for GP and MP - again!

gym class (Body Pump) 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: white puma

Different instructor and one I could very much get to like. Found out when she gives her usual classes.
Can't do a lot different with Body Pump - but was challenging and very enjoyable.

Monday May 13 #

8 AM

gym class (Early class) 45:00 [3]
shoes: white puma

Time constrained this morning as I had a meeting at 10. Decision between doing a Gym5 later in the day or Early class opted for Early class to free up afternoon. Did have to leave early though. Not too bad a class and just maybe I can do it some weeks as a lead into Cross Trainer - but that might tip me into the gym junkie category and I wouldn't want to do that.

Sunday May 12 #

10 AM

Event (NOY2 Wallaroo=Rocky Ridge) 1:09:34 [3] 3.8 km (18:18 / km)
shoes: new black O

The world is a happier place today. Had a pretty good run with only 1 real miss - #6-#7 too low/far West, but when the second branch of w/c didn't come up I knew what had happened and stopped, began relocating but en route found control. Biggest route choice #4-#5 - probably not the best to take timewise but made up for it with scenery. Happy, didn't stress at any time (which is unusual of late) but was a bit disappointed to be over the hour. Glad I didn't do the Hard Medium - apparently very tough. Claimed quite a few scalps today too. (smug smile)
