Again very happy with today - very enjoyable. Unexplained diversion - looked on way back - no obstacles - perhaps a change in time?

No time for warm up as hadn't planned on pushing it hard under current restrictions. All seemed to be going along OK so tried a bit harder. With 1km to go and no adverse signs I decided to push hard and even harder at 4.5. All seems to be OK... but of course that doesn't mean that hills don't toss me a wobbly (or me them)
Off to visit rockman and celebrate his triumph today.

Equipment failure - anticipated- resulted in only half session done. At least it didn't happen halfway around a parkrun course (It did happen with 1.5km to go earlier this year and was VERY annoying)


Just looked at results from yesterday - I'm astounded at my placing given I did very little running and expected everyone else to be running. It shows nav is better for me that "speed" *cough *cough *cough (ironic coughs not physical)

New map - our 5th in a row. area, though I'd call it more scrub than bush. Great Massey/Lyons course. Haven't enjoyed myself in the field for quite a while. While nav was straight forward it was also vague in places and one could be lured to far away places quite easily. But I wasn't - so i was pleased I held it together.Pleased with choices and execution and a little bit of relocating when i was looking for a flag on a minor w/c but it was on a minor dry ditch beside the w/c.
Only worry part was afterwards talking to people it felt very much like the last week before leaving for Aus champs in late September - warm a bit of a breeze whipping up dust. I suspect the area would be rife with snakes in about 5 months.
