gym class (PF Active) 1:00:00 [4]
shoes: white puma

Hard, hard, hard and I'm not sure how I'll go at event this afternoon - hills galore,
5 PM

Street Series (#4Raspberry Gully) 49:35 [4] 5.2 km (9:32 / km)
shoes: black+blue

I knew I could never emulate tRicky's heroic high performance by doing two heavy sessions in a day. Today's event on another hilly area with Alex's very clever setting was really pushing me to my limits. Tried to contour as much as I could but blotted my record by being late - very late - and losing massive amounts of points. I had plenty of opportunity to drop controls on way in but I think the mistake I made was to include 3 points when I should have not done a couple of out and backs. Moderately happy with distance given terrain.

Gym5 25:58 [4] 5.0 km (5:12 / km)
ahr:134 shoes: white puma

Didn't think I'd go all that well after the first km but seemed to get more determined as distance went on. No untoward signs - HR max as far as I can see was 141 so maybe 150 is my max allowable. I'll take that!

Note

Up at 5:30 for a few mouthfuls of yoghurt then pack car with slices, muffins, bread for NSW Paddlegaine. Arrived by 6:30 and helped set up. people came, people went - wonderful day orchestrated by Peels who have put an enormous amount of effort into this "brainwave". Went really despite it being very low tide. 5 craft cleared the course, 2 singles and 3 doubles so excellent course setting there!
Fantastic day when everyone pitched in and loads of very exhausted people at the end which going on past experience indicates they had a great time.
Word has it that next year could be a cyclogaine.
