Cool, overcast and drizzly so a perfect day for a walk in the park. Overdressed AGAIN but also hadn't planned on any running of quantity (rarely of quality).
Was just aiming for the range of 40-42.

All sectors about 25 sec slower than last week, except for T-3. All in the mindset - which today was happy and peaceful and not beating myself up.

Didn't really plan on going out on the Rogaine - because I'm Admin aren't I - but when all 19 teams had departed and everything settled there was a great enticement to get a map and go exploring. I found a lovely path and would have scored 40 points - which wouldn't have placed me last by any stretch. This was the Volunteers Thank You with a twist - the rogaine could be done alone with score doubled - so I would have got 80; or in pairs so scores doubled or as a team so scores cumulative. The participants could use any form of transport with no penalty so kayaks, unicycles, bikes, e-bikes, cars, swim, SUP and even feet. A 30 point/min late penalty caught a few out! 2 hour time limit and then a feast with a whole 50 sec of speeches. The overcast and slightly damp atmosphere was beautiful and a little of the afternoon was spent sitting beside a waterfall... thinking.
I wish I could have mastered the camping booking section as Crosslands Reserve is beautiful. No leeches or mossies encountered but I suspect anyone there on Tuesday will find some lurking.
Talk about fire/map/area loss and also the possibility of a Bourke NSW Champs - and feelers put out about me attending. Very interested, depending on timing.

Doesn't get any easier. Good class structure but after yesterday's antics I'm wondering about Macquarie Hills this afternoon.

The hills are alive with the sound of panting. I very early on decided I would not do any extra climbing. The map has 2 distinct halves - a steep climb but with flat sections in the North and below the major bisecting road lots of curves and hills and hollows but with what seemed to be lots of points. Never mind I had to do the North section and make sure it was downhill to the Finish. Clues were great - thanks Bridget and interesting challenge to get something worthwhile. My dilemma at the end was to make a mad dash for the last 1 pointer across the athletics field but with approx 1:15 remaining I decided not to. Bridget confirmed I wouldn't have made it in time - YAY 1 for tinytoes.
Lots of planning for this weekend and next - discussions and temporary plans.Today was the memory run for Peter N - headbands were for sale. Bought one but wore it on my wrist. Headbands and my hair don't mix.

To home from car service. Pleased to see workers walking to work. Starting to get warm by end. Not relishing the return journey in the middle of the day, nor the cost as this is the first outside the fixed period.

Very confusing class - moves all the same but music made little sense. Not a new release either. Good workout. Feeling a bit fatigued and some rubbing on bicep.

Scrubbing early for water restriction and heat reasons. Last deck to be done.10mx4m. Front deck 15x3.5 looks fantastic. rockman prepped them in June so just a touch up needed and a solid scrub and light sand.

Waited as long as I could to take advantage of evening coolth. Did a lot of dragging and lifting and pulling hopefully using all good back health rules. Newly cleared area looked so good and "ready' so i planted it out - more digging.
