Park Run (Lakeview) 39:38 [4] 5.0 km (7:56 / km)
shoes: black+blue

S-1 8:50 big improvement
1-2 7:27 (16:17) same
2-T3:45 (20:03) same
T-3 4:12 (24:15) improved
3-4 8:07 (32:23) improvement on last time
4-5 7:14 (39:38) Still a little faster
Really happy with today - every time an improvement (even if just 1-2 seconds in each of the 1-T sectors) which yielded a 1 min improvement on recent best times. Only 4 seconds slower than last week's flat Greenway course.
Celebrated Margaret "Ollie Vollie" Olsen's parkrun NSW Hero of the Month. Not quite as many refugees from newy as I'd expected (newy was called off and remains cancelled for further notice - they were rebuked by Head Office apparently)

Gym5 23:57 [4] 5.0 km (4:47 / km)
shoes: adidas

Pushed myself to go and decided it was time to return to Gym5. I've been up and down with running lately - some pleasing progress with parkrun but some rather poor k rates at events, and some tantalising near misses on goals. I'm a long way improved on recovery and know my stamina is much improved (or rather back to where it was about 3 years ago).
I know the 10am ish timeslot is really my forte and it took no time to be going at a good pace, notwithstanding i was watching tv reports of F1 cancellation (friends there). Very happy with even being able to up the pace in the last 700m and scraped in under 24mins (obviously this is machine induced), but is on comparison a marked improvement. Need to get something in the legs before Easter, even though a terrain run beforehand isn't likely to happen - not happy with Bush timetable both locally and statewide and Easter is 1/4 of the way through April.

Park Series (Thomas H Halton Park #2) 34:44 [4]
shoes: grey/white

Adrian did a really good job of setting here - one of the more interesting courses, though still in the "usual" direction. Splits say I lost time to #14 - that was sub optimal route choice and splits say i lost 2:13 on #17 which is pretty generous - stuffed it badly. But very enjoyable time and heaps of people - lovely long queues!

Had to curtail class - appointment with Cultural Collections manager at 11.

Am absolutely logging this - had to park a long way from Uni then all uphill and at speed due to spending so much time finding a spot.

Walking to and from carpark (long stay) to optometrist appointment. My short distance vision has deteriorated - this I knew because I've had a very difficult time in actually seeing what my photos look like in photography classes, notwithstanding it is a small screen anyway. This will also expand my reading capacity to microscopic print novels too. Love my new frames - good riddance to the old clunky ones that I've never liked nor felt comfortable wearing. And these new ones are green!!!
