walking (Tramway - solo) 40:09 [3] 3.7 km (10:51 / km)
shoes: black+blue

Part of a "thing" I couldn't gt out of. A "walking" group - but not at my pace so did my own thing. Instead of doing the car shuffle at either end I parked at the end and walked to the start. Proved to be a good move.
Track itself was patchy - parts interesting, but was a little surprised at some of the inclines - easy going but still steeper than I'd imagined for a tramway. Interesting to see the Wallsend farmland but dismayed at the large amounts of medium density of assisted living etc. Guess it's the way of the future.

walking (Wallsend tramway) 50:50 [2] 3.7 km (13:44 / km)
shoes: black+blue

Knew this was going to be slower (and I didn't push hard for the outward journey so as not to "glow") but just 400m into the path one of the group (who has difficult knees anyway) had some strong sharp pain. We stopped, encouraged her to return, or for us to find a "nearby" street and I'd go back and get my car to her. Another 2 attempts saw her admit defeat and not wanting to fluster her she turned around and the remaining people kept going, but kept in contact by phone. As it turned out we completed the rest of the track at the same time she finished so we drove back to check on her.
Certainly a conversation explore but no walk! which is what I thought. One very keen for other walking catch ups... this little wombat not so.
The promised 21C didn't eventuate - but good that it was overcast.

Note
(rest day)

Crazy day - all planned then a couple of phone calls threw everything into chaos. Resultant specialist consultation (scan and test results back - specialist wants to see you today.... ah well that'll be not good) yielded surprising results - very relieved.

Park Run ((not) parkrun lakeview) 42:42 [4] 5.0 km (8:32 / km)
shoes: black+blue

Quite a few people out and about. Cool to start with and an icy blast along the starting straight and a few reminders over the ridge, but the hope of a tailwind on the finish run in was a big carrot. (and was much appreciated)
S-1 9:49
1-28:10 (18:00)
2-T 3:56 (21:56)
T-3 4:24 (26:20)
3-4 8:55 (35:15)
4-5 7:26 (42:42)
Calves fairly tight, which isn't that surprising. About a minute slower than last effort, but pleasing last km of about 20 secs faster.

gym class (PF Active) 45:00 [3]
shoes: black+blue

Bit surprise when walked in this morning. I'd taken this class as an "alternative" as it is very hard to get into classes, but now I know the secret I've got it down pat. Bonus is that this instructor is one from my old gym (OK 8 years ago) but she is no frills, solid and clear in direction, and especially now we can't move out of our own little bubble in the room she has reverted to traditional Step classes - yiha!! Class structure in 3 clear segments and think I might move on to her other classes too. Forcing myself to go to an 8:30 class however is half the battle.
