gym class (Body Sculpt) 45:00 [4]
shoes: white puma

Quite likely the best class this year! Bec is superb, without the flamboyance and quirkiness of some. After Step warmup - Yay! - it was 40-20 intervals with 30 rest. Cardio, strength alternating. Just great!

Note

Walked more slowly this morning anticipating the return journey in the afternoon. But Chris Builder enticed me into his car and drove me there instead. Payback is I have to wait around for the steel to be delivered which was at Port Macquarie at 1pm. Chances of arrival today? Not good at this stage.

2 min rounds of:
15 Burpees + squat press
12 Commando crawls + kettle bells
200m run + ground to o/head
4 lengths bear crawls + pull ups

3 repetitions
Warm down. Interesting - many class on phones at 9:32 - already. Got out at 10:30, logged on - all places for next week gone. Might give Pilates a try again.

Street Series (Warm up #2 lakelands) 45:30 [4] 5.9 km (7:43 / km)
shoes: black+blue

Another hilly area but I feel i really managed the contours well... and there's the rub. I spent the 2 min planning time getting a reasonable route on the flat area and then when i set off - went off in the northerly direction rather than doubling back and going west. Very surprised by my placing - pity it's just a warm up. Not wishing to be or seem churlish but the 30 sec late was probably lost at control #60 which was given as house 37 when we slowed, stopped, backtracked and then went on to find a trill at 27. I'm not that good at budgetting time but think I lost at least 30-40 sec there. Pretty pooped tonight - big day and a big day tomorrow - 10km coming up.

gym class (Body Pump) 1:00:00 [4]

Very pleased with the way i felt in Shoulders and Abs. Maybe that was when I started to concentrate rather than fossick through what happened yesterday - both at Hawkes Nest and at the building site. It's all go today - and I've got to order/pay for water tank and move my stuff from one lockup to another! Steel arriving tomorrow apparently and ensuite gutted Thursday. Glad LM rogaine is this weekend.

Event (NOY Sugarloaf) 1:13:41 [3] 3.3 km (22:20 / km) +50m 20:45 / km
shoes: new black O

Except for me transporting 3 major trophies for a very informal (not) presentation, I could have possibly convinced myself I had other far more important things to do. But Rob had specifically asked me to go and various events resulted in a very worthwhile morning. I have trouble motivating myself after Aus Champs weeks, even if I don't attend. This would also have been the delayed SL weekend for Newcastle and i was always concerned about the timing - but hey we do hold 5 Days at Christmas sometimes.
Sugarloaf is a Jekyll and Hyde map for me. Many good legs and some terrible ones and the past 2 SL evetns here I have botched. But today was a goody - and I am really proud of the choices I made and routes I took. I hadn't really explored some areas previously, electing/wimping out by chosing road and track rather than hugging rock ledges and using the features. No problems on most legs, though was too low on the 3rd last which unfortunately meant a climb of lots of ms. Heartened that 5 others on the Long course did the same - but they were following the leader and I was ahead though going slower.
So ends a year of difference. So proud of our club and the lead it has taken this year in conduct of events and event management. A lot of work by many people but the true leaders were recognised today. Congratulations Powa and Leepback - richly deserved. I know both of you will be sheepish - but we as a club are much in your debt.
