Park Run (Lakeview) 45:18 [3]
shoes: grey/white

Still very warm but gentle rain had arrived overnight. Perfect conditions for parkrun except for the slippery areas. Decided to go "naked" and just walk. Ummed and aahhed about level of clothing, and which shoes to sacrifice in the wet. Started waaay at the back of the pack. Didn't stress too much until the first downhill and had to run. I continued on in this fashion - lovely peaceful morning. There is a danger in no splits - but was happy to put in effort. I got a very good placing - obviously many stayed home - and would have been much better had it not been for the macca's mob which turned up to celebrate someone's 250th. So i'm guessing I would have jagged a top 70 otherwise. Funny old thing this parkrun.

Note

Was looking forward to going to the Chalkfest over the weekend - street art using chalk and pavement. I wonder how it will go with heavy rain forecast?

gym class (Body Sculpt) 45:00 [3]
shoes: white puma

One of Tina's better classes; effectively 1 min on alternating cardio and strength - but not very intense. she revealed she is actually 54 - honestly I'd have given her later thirties if that. Amazed.

gym class (PF Challenge) 45:00 [4]
shoes: Brooks Glycerin

A very tough class, and I didn't listen about taking it easier should i need to.
Warm up
EMOM, but given 15 sec warning of change if need a break
Run
20 GtO
25 Lying leaps
20 walking lunges
100 mountain climbers (I did standing on bike instead)
12 burpees

5 rounds. I managed to get to target number in each category in last round.
Abs - I was hopeless - legs vertical for a start, crunching to ankles I can do, scissors I can do, but not with legs vertical.
Stretch.

Street Series (#16 Maryland) 47:15 [3]
shoes: grey/white

Love maprunF... until I don't. I couldn't get it to "stop" so time getting away.. and away. And as finish desk more than 80m away more time lost. MooseMorris did a good job messing with macey's mind - his sole aim of the event as always and the rest of us had a long way to run to get points. Nice area but unhappy way to end the event.

Note

I'm confused! One of our loveliest "girls" who turned 31 last week is getting married to her longtime girlfriend on Friday. It's all getting very exciting. But what stumped me today was someone asked if she was the groom? Not having been to a gay wedding, but I thought they called each other brides/wives?

Note

Rolled up for Zumba but the instructor resigned and didn't show. A first for me in 10 years at this gym, but has happened occasionally at night classes I'm led to believe.

gym class (Body Pump) 1:05:00 [4]
shoes: white puma

A few bandaids were ripped off today. Deb, for whatever reason, has taken it upon herself to set up for some of us before the class, noting our preferred weights. Today I walked in and saw in "my" spot a set of weights, dumbells and bar that wasn't my usual. Not to worry - but no, she'd decided I was going up by 1.5kg x2 for chest and back and by 1kg for biceps and triceps and shoulders. I hastily set up a separate bar with the old weights on just in case - but I didn't need it! Only missed maybe 2 reps in total. Going to have to watch her - she's talking about another 1kgx2 for back.

gym class (PF Challenge) 45:00 [4]
shoes: Brooks Glycerin

New shoes on, so i felt I had to impress them.
Class routine written on board looked extremely uninviting but settled in and felt strongest in a while.
Warm up
600m run
21-18-15-12-9 each of
dead lift (heavy)
squat press (medium)
600m run
9-12-15-18-21 each of
dead lift (heavy)
squat press (medium)
600m run. (I only got to do 400m before time ran out) Really pleased with output today and felt the benefit of new shoes.
Think I'll have to retire the running shoes too.
