Park Run (Lakeview) 41:51 [4] 5.0 km (8:22 / km)
shoes: black+blue

S-1 9:35
1-2 8:05 (17:40)
2-T3:49 (21:30)
T-3 4:25 (25:55)
3-48:42 (34:37)
4-5 7:13 (41:51)
Very pleasantly surprised with this. First of the Autumn cold breezes from SW but comforted myself with it being a little tail wind on way back. Biggest gains were in 1st, 4th and 5th km stacking on some much appreciated seconds!!

gym class (Body Sculpt) 45:00 [3]
shoes: Brooks Glycerin

Pyramid sets of 4 minutes with 30 sec between alternating between cardio and strength 2 exercises within each grouping. Good solid session. Sad to hear that Bec is not appreciated in the "Active" class. They are a very odd bunch and very clicky.

gym class (Body Pump) 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: Brooks Glycerin

Apparently I was smashing out the reps in chest track with increased weights. Not sure i agree but felt good.

gym class (Cross Fit - Fiery 50) 50:00 [4]
shoes: Brooks Glycerin

Warm up
Fiery 50
Squat Press
Box Jumps (did Step Ups instead in view of later today)
Walking lunges with weight
Burpees
Air Squats
Dead Lifts
Rows
Push Press
Sit ups

Warm Down
I elected to do only 30reps in first round to see how I went. Still 15 mins to go so went back and did the other 20reps. This avoided fatigue which would have resulted in poor form, but managed to get all reps done. Very happy and felt I achieved something.

Park Series (#1 Boomerang Park) 39:34 [3] ***
spiked:14/19c shoes: black+blue

Haven't been to Boomerang in over 3 years so was interested to see changes. Brand spanking new pathway, a couple of new enclosures (Mens Shed, Dog Off Leash area) but what still endures is the bog on the fields after rain.
Not because of the humidity but there was oh so much Fe2O3 around and especially in an area I am familiar with. Still Oskar set some beaut legs to make a really good Park Sprint. Spiking 14/19 didn't save me from some horrendous blunders in the remaining 5 legs.

massage 1:00:00 [3]

Already organised as a reward for yesterday's exertion. Legs not too bad according to Jen, but back... as usual (says Jen with screwed up nose)

rogaine (Contouring Killara) 2:53:00 [3] 11.6 km (14:55 / km)
shoes: white puma

Shoes: White Puma - now not so white.

New format in "these unprecedented times" ie start windows. In some ways that caused a lack of excitement but in others on the way back you didn't know who was close to time and who wasn't. Really enjoyed the event - did more bush tracks than previously in this type so distance was down as not a lot of steep but some - but more being wary of footing and slipperyness. Had my usual Plan A and Plan 1 and was prepared for a mix. Set goals of where to be at 1hr - there at 1:02 and at 2hr - there at 1:58. This latter one was back at car so i could ditch my backpack and just blat the last hour in the streets, which i did.Last hour hoped to be back to HH and found i was back with about 6:30 to spare and no points I could have got safely at anytime - so good planning for me.
Had water at 1hr, pineapple at 2hours + water.
Feet were a little bit niggly at 1:20 and was rather worried it could be a problem but didn't eventuate.
Wasn't going to drive home and was very pleased I felt reasonably good in the afternoon, however little A's requests to do jumps off a small platform and spin were definitely passed up. No cramping overnight either.
