Note

Very disappointed in my performance at parkrun this morning. Up early, checked fB to see if cancelled, selected appropriate clothing and shoes deciding not to sacrifice gym gear as limited opportunity for drying over next 4-6 days, selected appropriate slip grip shoes, set off, arrived, noted very few in attendance and then discovered i hadn't brought my barcode with all the gear changes. Hoped I had a spare in my purse but only had rockman's.
Feeling very stupid as an all time high placing possible.... I skulked home fuming with myself.
Lesson learned. :-(((

Friday Mar 19 #

9 AM

gym class (Body Sculpt) 45:00 [3]
shoes: Brooks Glycerin

Last minute decision to go to the gym as I'd called off work given the anticipated weather conditions and the advice was to postpone all non-essential travel in the mid-North coast and Hunter areas.
Class is growing in size and gives a good workout with lots of choice.

Thursday Mar 18 #

9 AM

gym class (Body Pump) 1:03:00 [3]
shoes: Brooks Glycerin

Back to usual weights except for shoulders which I really upped but was selective.

Wednesday Mar 17 #

9 AM

gym class (Body Sculpt) 45:00 [4]
shoes: Brooks Glycerin

Even though this was designated Challenge class it really was extreme Body Sculpt with 3 rounds of 8 exercises 1 min on 30 sec recovery of very targetted butt and leg. No after effects from yesterday's foray into the big time.
5 PM

Park Series (#3 Caves Beach) 28:48 [3] 2.7 km (10:40 / km) +30m 10:06 / km
shoes: white puma

A great map and a cracker course. Early drizzle but none during the time I was out. One poor route choice cost me ~25 sec and the other lost time was slowness. Won't be in A grade for finals for sure but enjoying the outing.

Tuesday Mar 16 #

9 AM

gym class (Body Pump) 1:03:00 [4]
shoes: Brooks Glycerin

Outdid myself today. After yesterday's squat success I did it for real today, but lined Stu up to lift the weights off at the end. As i expected no problems with the squatting just the positioning of the weights and the lifting off. Emboldened i then upped biceps and later shoulders. Plan on doing this once a week so as not to tempt injury fate.

Monday Mar 15 #

gym class (PF Challenge) 53:00 [4]
shoes: Brooks Glycerin

Wow what a class and full too.
Warm up
3 mins burpees - full
1 min on, 30 sec rest
clean and press
rows
plyo lunges
push ups
GtO
Get ups (I modified)
Weighted squats
Twice through
Tabata 20 on 10 off 6 rounds
Push press
Ladder runs
Warm down and stretch
Found i could do really heavy weighted squats so might have a go tomorrow. The legs aren't the issue - it's the neck placement.
