Park Run (#332 newy) 52:22 [3] 5.0 km (10:28 / km)
shoes: grey/white

Wet day - old shoes, rain jacket! And an extra bonus of a gentle breeze. Very few in attendance. Quick chat with Lawrences and Bennetts and then off! Puddles were numerous and wide. Kept a steady pace. Nice walking in the rain though.

Thursday May 30 #

gym class (Body Pump) 1:03:00 [4]
shoes: NB 496

Long chat afterwards with Janet, of Irish descent. She's going to Japan in December. She also asked me to go to Pickleball with her tonight. But she also has done orienteering at school so I'll subtly work on her!

Wednesday May 29 #

gym class (Active +) 50:00 [3]
shoes: Black Asics

One of the more bizarre gym experiences. While Wednesday is Circuit Day a section was devoted to boxing and the music was Bollywood. Just messed entirely with my rhythm

Ah back into routine.
5 PM

gym class (Booty and Core) 48:00 [3]
shoes: Black Asics

Almost missed the class - still in holiday halo mode and writing up my diary of Japan trip I forgot it was Tuesday. It will be interesting to see how sore I am tomorrow. Aimee played the short version of the wall-sit section so played it twice for me and then again during the warm down. I'm guess the rest of the class may be sick of the music - but I'm (not) losing it!

Monday May 27 #

gym class (HIIT) 55:00 [3]

Cath has been away too so we'll see who is the more affected by lack of specific exercise.

Event 3:34 [3] ***
spiked:14/14c shoes: grey/white

Late decision to go to our Maze Orienteering Champs at Brickworks Park. leepback did a fantastic job in organising and coordinating. Was placed in the Masters group, unsurprisingly. First run was "the" world maze as a timed course. Did well in the section.

Event 2:23 [3]
spiked:7/8c shoes: grey/white

Then Round 2 was a Knock out Match race against Lyndy, who didn't quite seem to get the intricacies of the event. Still fairly focussed.

Event 2:20 [3] ***

I then progress ed through to the final which unfortunately I mp'd in (#4 didn't register though ppl saw me go there) . However Gayle thrashed me by about 20 seconds as I got the stutters in the last 2 controls. Brain dead, not jet lagged. Best entertainment was in Open Men's where Alex and Greg dead heated twice in the knock out phases - I think Greg conceded as he needed to leave. Of course that meant Alex had run an extra course and was mashed up in the next round.
