Running 47:55 [4]

morning run round my usual loop, plus a bit more distance down calliope. felt good on the flats, but then a bit breathless an unfit up the hills, i think this is due to my airways being a bit blocked up (minor cold). Despite this i went quite hard, especially along cheltenham, and up north head. at the top i had a big rest/ recovery as i felt terrible, no breath what soever and almost like i wanted to spew. anyhow was all good after a couple of mins. Also felt quite breathless at the top of mt vic and felt like i took alot longer than usual to recover. finished around calliope, felling quite strong and better than earlier.

hill sprints up the side of mt vic, bottom side track to top side track up the steep grass. about 30 sec up then a minute or so down then a short rest. did 5 reps. felt alright, I guess i've got a bit fitter as the last time i did these i only did 3.

run to mt vic (before hill sprints), then north head, where i put a bit more effort in, cheltenham beach, over to narrowneck, through the golf course then round the tip. legs were a bit heavy after hill sprints but i suppose thats expected, calfs tightened up towards the end, but to be fair i didn't really warm up and it was very cold. otherwise i felt alright.

good ride on the charge, a bit more non stop than usual, just did mt vic and north head. broke another bloody spoke, otherwise all good

18 mins on the boxing bag (6 x 3mins), some press ups, sit ups, and squat jumps

nice ride on the charge with david. good play around on north head and mt vic, then i just did a quick loop round the golf course and tip. Felt like i was riding quite well and felt very comfy on the bike. Didn't push it that hard physically, as david wasn't quite up to my pace up the hills. but it was a good ride

Orienteering race 1:07:19 [4]

queens bday day 3. made aa couple of mistakes, 2 min on no.2 and then a really silly mistake on 8, whare i wasted 5 mins. other than that it was all good, apart from maybe losing a bit too much height contouring on some legs, and a few controls where i climbed a bit too high. felt alright running, but never went that fast due to the nature of the terrain. Still felt really fresh at the end, so that was good. quite enjoyed the run really.
